Blue Hash and Northnern Lights Closet Grow Journal

Ok so here's my first grow journal. I just practiced on some bag seed and got them into flowering to find that all three were males .

Such is life, they taught me a lot and now I think I'm ready for a grow journal with some quality seeds. I'm going to grow 1 feminized blue hash and 1 feminized northern lights. Both from Attitude Seed Bank.

My bag seed allowed me to work through all my issues in my closet, the biggest of which was heat and over watering. All solved now.

Here is my setup.

I have a small closet, 30 inches wide by 20 inches deep. I have it broken up into a top section for flowering and a bottom section for vegging (both light proofed). The bottom is 2 1/2 feet tall and the top is 4 feet tall. I have a small cubby above the closet which I've drilled two holes into. I have two squirrel fans sucking air out of the chambers (one for each). I have a 250 HPS cool tube in the flowering, and two movable light setups in the veg chamer which allow me to change the lights in the bottom as needed. I have mostly 42 watt cfls down there. One large fan in the top, one in the bottm, both oscilatting. Air definately moves through both chambers and my average temp is about 81-83 in the flowering (thats down from 96-100 that i started with) and 75-80 in the bottom (down from 86-89 originally).

I'm using Soil for my grows. Will be growing into 3 gallon containers and doing LST due to height restrictions. The Soil is a good soil that a local nursery uses, not MG, and has no time release nutes in it. I'm also using Fox Farms Nutes. My biggest problem is nute burn so I'll be asking for tips on that as I go.

Here are pix of my grow room. The plants you see are all males and have consequently been murdered, pay them no mind.

Here is where I'm at now.

I have 2 lowryder 2's growing in the flowering chamber currently. They are on week 4.5. I'll be showing pix of those as we go a long since bud porn brings in the viewers.

In the bottom I'll be vegging my Blue Hash and Northern Lights.

I almost forgot, i'm open to any suggestions. So feel free to post em if you got em throughout the grow.

What are you using for nutes?

Mine are currently just approaching the end of thier 4th week of flower and look alot like yours! Feel free to pop-in and check out my current grow - link in my sig. =)

crap i just realized i spelled it Nothnern lights and not Northern lights. Ah well, blame it on the pot.

Dayzt your grow is lookin nice. I'm using Fox Farms Nutes, just the Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, and Grow Big. BTW, the pix of flowering are my Lowryders that I'm wrapping up. Have about 3 weeks left. It's a good thing too, cause this area has like no smoke recently so I need something to smoke until the Northern Lights and Blue Hash get finished.

Ok so seeds for the northern lights and blue hash popped on Sunday. I planted them that night and by Tuesday they officially became seedlings.

I have pix of both the seedlings (currently under 42 watts of CFL light each) and I have pix of my lowryder 2's that are wrapping up their final weeks of life. The lowryder 2's are at about 5-5.5 weeks in. I don't know for sure cause I can't remember when I planted. All is looking well though.

Ok so the Girls are doing well. They are in 1/2 gallon containers and have just recieved their 3rd watering. This time it was straight water ph balanced to about 5.7. I am noticing a bit of yellowing edges on both plants on the first set of leaves. I posted something on the plant problem section to see if I'm just being overly sensative or if I need to do something different.

I also have pix of my almost done Lowryder 2's They have suffered a bit of nute burn this last week, so I've only been giving them water since then. No worries though they are just about to get chopped. My wife and I smoked a bowl of one of the popcorn buds last night and I think they are just about ready. I'll give them about another day or so and chop them.
