I considered doing another thread around it. but just decided to lump it in with this one for now. My MG mix is not right out of the bag I posted it a page or two back. But what it is, is available at every Lowes, Home depot, or garden center most of it can be picked up at Wal-mart. It also cost about half as much per pot than the FF

yeah, I'm using the soil right now and I have 7 healthy plants growing. My friend picked it up for me because it's the cheapest, 6 month slow release feed or w/e the fux is the one I've been going with

I wanna see how MG stacks up to some foxfarm shit. I've used mg a few times and I've never had a problem with it ever all I do is mix it 50-50 with some of my own compost and it works wonders.

They will be on the same nutes and I think that is what makes the difference. I don't think I need to pay twice as much for hippie soil. That being said if it makes a big difference I will have to do the right thing for the children and pony up the dough.

I like how teflon is KISS (keeping it simple stupid) (no offense but sometimes growing this shit is WAY overthought!)

I for one have used the MG organic in the past with pretty standard results... it made good bud but I think the direct effect is in the flavor. I am not growing organic mind you, however; my guess for this turnout (yes I am staking a side this early on haha!) is that both plants turn out within 10% of each other in terms of weight, but the FF will taste/burn better. Time will tell but expect me to pop in at least every other day to say hey and I will drop pics of mine over the next 30 days as thats when I am chopping, 30 days from today!

That falls under the category of "for dummies" I agree with you about people making it complicated. I want to show people that it can be kind of simple and productive. Autos for beginners in a way.

I did that for a minute but it ain't worth it. too smelly and too much work.

check this out brosef. a few successful major growers on this site use it and I started doing it also. a lot of people in the plant world do it too

http://spot.colorado.edu/~basey/ldanzell.html

just get some club soda/carbonated water and water or mist some leaves with it.

Magnificent! This is my first time growing in over 2 years... although I grew up growing in Southern Cal and have been the go to guy in my circle of friends at getting grow rooms setup "correctly". I hope my BHD turn out half as nice as that plant there.... the growth looks identical when comparing day by day timeframe pics so with any luck..... a minus any major catastrophe!

On the subject of beneficial CO2.... you would have to have an airtight seal and be able to increase parts per million in your room/tent to 1200+ for any real benefit to the plant. I am not sure about the seltzer water idea as plants only utilize CO2 in the dark when natural respiration takes place on the surface of the leaves.... which would mean spraying seltzer water in during the dark (and I am not sure how one would do so without light leaks). Just my two cents. I am a fan however of ozone generators... theres science behind that!

Dam double edit ... question: What day did you chop that on? You have an idea for what day you plan on chopping your BHD? I am debating at doing all 3 on day 70 or doing a staggered 66-68-70 or something of that sort... ideas?

It was cut early, like around 60 days. I had to allow for cure time. I don't want to burn peoples throats New years eve. It had 5-10% amber trics. The diesels will go any where from 65 to 70. I need to see how they grow in a canopy before I can figure my capacity. I will fit as many in my space as I can. Ideally I want to cut one or two a week. I can say that any seeded female will stay in the pot until the seeds are falling out.

looks interesting but my space is kind of open and needs to stay easily broken down. I will try it when I build a cab.

I have some new short stuff beans i getting ready. Iam on 18/6 cycle i add 1 new plant every 2-3 weeks to keep a cycle going, if i change light to 24/0 to try do you think it will affect plants already in there on 18/6

No it won't effect anything. Or rather it shouldn't I should say. I have changed mine to 18/6 and then the timer burnt up a week later so I went back to 24/0 with no ill effects.

Looking good man. I need to make a box for the summer months. I would add more bulbs. 3 will get you started with seedlings but you will need more for veg and flower. I have seen dozens of spindly plants under a couple of cfls. I use a lot of bulbs and none of my girls are scrawny. you should figure out how many bulbs you are going to need to flower and get that set up in place to check your temps with the full amount of bulbs in the cabinet
