Blue Mystic/Bubbilicous 400W 1st grow

So at the moment, I'm 6 weeks into this grow from seed. Things seem to be going pretty well and I'm about to switch to 12/12 light. I'm using Roots Organics and trying to keep things all organic. I'm a Caregiver, and this is my first grow. I've got a 400W hydrofarm radiant AC hood with a sunpulse 3K bulb and a nextgen ballast. My set up is a bit small but things will thin out when I weed out the males over the next week or 2....Hopefully not too many though. I did have a heat issue in week 3 when I switched from the veg room, to the flowering room and didn't have the ventalation quite hammered down as well as I had thought. However, they took to the big light well and have really grown a lot over the last 2 weeks. I also had a bit of an over nute issue too that I caught early enough that I don't think much damage was done. Finally putting up this journal to possibly help some people, and mostly to get some suggestions/advice as the flowering starts to go down...really looking forward to the next 2 months. Thanks for checking it out

Nice man...sounds pretty tastey. I'll be watching to see how it goes. I actually saw your blue/bubble grow journal and used your feeding schedule...just a bit more diluted...not much though. Seems to be working well..so thanks for posting that. I'm posting some pics of the grow rooms. The veg is empty because I'm waiting a bit before I start the next round in there. The flower room has 2 fans in the bottom...one is a space heater(temps drop pretty low here in the winter) and the other is a rigged up carbon filter that i'm experimenting with...seems to be working though. The light is looked up to a 6" booster fan and seems to be working well. I had it hooked up differently when I had the heat issue. Moving it to the outside vent instead of up against the light really helped pull more air. I have a good size circulation fan in the corner that has a small intake vent coming in behind it to keep it cool enough with the light is on and keep some fresh air coming in.

that souns cool im going to see how mine works with a 4" 80 cfm bringing air in from my window going through the cooltube being pulled by another 4" 80cfm inline fan i hope thats enough with hte cooltube to keep it cool..ppp you look good though so im with yah..

Today I did some house keeping and cleaned up the Flower room a bit. I moved the space heater off the ground to mid level on a little shelf I built(trying to keep the direct heat away from the plants while keeping the room around 70). I've shut the light off for 24 hrs and switched out the sunpulse bulb for a hortilux super hps. Plants are all looking good and from pre flowers..I think my 2 best plants a bubblicious and a blue mystic are both female....have to wait and see about the others for the moment.

Thats a pretty good looking grow going there Topher. They should perk up quickly and start to get pretty bushy. Mine really grew out then up. Hope everything goes well with them.

Begale...I really hope they are a good strain. I'm also hoping that the organics will help out in that department too. I really got these to be great tasting...so hopefully that works out

Nice work with planting the bubble's Begale. I normally try to do a weekly photo shoot monday's...thats at least how things have gone so far. So things aren't looking all that well in terms of my male/female count. I think I have 3 for sure males and 2 females and 2 that have yet to show. I've posted a few that are the pre flowers. It's hard to throw the males away, so let me know what you think.

well i have 10 beans that have popped threw the shell,i have dropped them into dirt today so i guess ill see in a few days how many come threw the dirt.lol.. (bubblelicius that is)

Well.....Today was the day. Males are now gone. 4 males/4 females. Bit disappointed though. 3 bubblicious/1 blue mystic. Was hoping that it would be the other way around. I was looking forward to the blue mystics, however the tallest plant is a blue and it has grown about 7 inches in the last week and a half now. Will post some new pics early next week. Peace

So, after 2 weeks of flowering things are starting to happen. The tallest plant has a nice top cola. The others are now starting to show the starts of colas, including the one bubble that I topped....looking forward to having 2 top colas and checking out the production differences. Think I'm still having a nute overdose problem with a ph problem as well. The one plant has leaves that are really cupping downward....not so much the tips though. So I'm holding of on my normal nute schedule for a day and dropping the PH of the water a little bit. Also thinking of adding some orange peel shavings to the soil...any thoughts on this? I'm not 100% sure about this issue, so input is welcome. You can really see it in one of the pictures. Let me know what you think and how things are progressing.

So, I woke up this morning (my light runs at night) to some plants that didn't look so great and a temp of about 85....they were steaming....not good. My little booster fan no longer was cutting it after I moved the light up above the exhaust fan level. I'm assuming the rising heat helped it last for a month. Went to the grow store and picked up a 4" can fan and the difference is amazing. There is a jet of air coming out now and it might even pull enough air to do away with my cold air intake I have coming into the room from the outside.

I also got my CO2 system kicking today with a gallon jug, some yeast and sugar. It is pushed out of the jug through small irrigation lines and feeds directly to each plant. Hopefully, this actually does something but seeing as I've never grown before, I have nothing to compare it too.

Ok...so nine weeks down. They are starting to look pretty good. The new fan is working really well and the CO2 system seems to be pumping out the good stuff. I've taken a bunch of pics of the plants and of the new fan/co2 system. The tallest plant is now 34 inches tall and the bud is starting to work its way down...will be pretty amazing if it works out and fills in well.

Made a trip to the clone store today and picked up the next crop. Maui, grape ice, and g13xhash plant are going to be pretty nice. Nice looking clones with a good root structure already

10 weeks down now and the buds are looking good. I topped a bubble and its got 2 smaller but nice looking colas. And then there is the blue mystic with its giant top cola....its looking so nice. They are still however showing signs of some early over nuteing. Can't wait for it to be done, however, i'm starting to get a bit concerned about the lower buds....they aren't really popping at all. The sites are there and they are very large, but no bud starting. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Is something wrong, or am i just too anxious?

week 10 b - blue mystic
week 10 c - bubble
week 10 d - topped bubble
week 10 e - bubble

I've also included one of the new additions over in the veg room. Order goes from left to right...grape ice, maui, and g13xhash plant.
