bongsmilie Whats up everyone im back with another Hempy Bucket Scrog, This time im around im going with a nice Indica strain known as Blue Thai. Today i put her in total darkness and will keep her there for about 24/36 hours then flip to 12/12 and let the stretch begin. Im using a 3 gallon bucket and i made a new screen because my last plant Blackjack 008.jpg ruined it! Here's some pics of the new girl from last week and a few days ago. 001.jpg002.jpg003.jpg004.jpg005.jpg006.jpg007.jpg008.jpg009.jpg010.jpg011.jpg

Nice. Actually I have a femanized seed for this strain, but I don't know much about it (it was an Attitude throw-in). Got any more info on it? Have you smoked it before?

Thanks for popping in Flat9. The Blue Thai im running is from Dinafem Seedbank and this is pretty much everything i can find on this strain.

The Original Sensible Seed Co present - Dinafem Seeds Blue Thai
Dinafem Seeds crossed their fast flowering Blueberry with Thai Skunk, a hybrid from the Netherlands that combines the high quality of Thai genetics with Skunk´s high yield.

Thanks to the fast flowering of their special Blueberry, Blue Thai flowers in only 8 weeks indoors, and is harvested by the 10th of October outdoors. This speedy flowering allows its use on balconies, gardens, terraces, guerrilla growing and of course greenhouses, with guaranteed success.

Blue Thai is quite resistant to mold, because thanks to it´s quick flowering time it is less exposed to moisture, and also thanks to the genetics used in this hybrid, as they are quite resistant to mold themselves.

It is very sweet with a touch of Thai acid, but always dominating the sweet fruity Blueberry. Produces much sticky resin in the second half of the flowering stage, and if the night temperature drops significantly, leaves and flowers turn violet and purple, a delight to behold.

A true champ with great yield and flavor, organically grown outdoors gives the best results.

Day 5 Flowering, Ive got pistils showing and hardly no stretch at all. Im actually looking for a bit of a stretch this round to fill in the screen a little better then my last grow. Shes pretty damn stinky already, its to the point where im getting a headache if im around her to much just from her strong skunky smell. But honestly i love it lol. 005.jpg006.jpg007.jpg008.jpg

So you haven't grown it before? Anyway, looking good. I'll be following this as I may want to do photos for my next run. I'm currently running Dutch Passion Think Differents in RDWC, which are just getting huge! Love that strain, but may want to try photos if I can get nearly as good of yield with 12/12 and maybe another 15 days or so of total grow time (Think Differents are about 80 days, figure veg for a month and flower for 2 months with this strain). Save on the electricity costs.

I'd love to see what kind of results you get. What lights are you using? Also, wrt smell, do you not have a carbon filter and what not?

This is my first run with this strain. I was looking for a nice indica strain when i came across this one on Attitude.com the price was good, i think i paid 45$ for a 5 pack fem and they even threw in some good freebies too. Good to hear your plants are thriving! Ive done a few autos and they sure are a pleasure to grow. Its like you said though, that 18 hours of light is just a little much at times.
I use a 400w dimmable coolhood that i keep on 200w for heat reasons but now that its getting cooler out ill be able to go up to 300w from time to time.
I have a small DIY filter that works but wasnt using it until today. I was implying how much this plant stinks already and shes not even budding, its really a strong skunky smell.

Update: Day 12 Flowering. Shes almost filled all 40 holes i got in the screen but hasnt stretched as much as i wanted so im not sure if ill be able to fill them all this grow. Shes got alot of pistils showing now and shes starting to get her little baby crowns. These next 6-7 weeks are gonna be fun to watch. This nice indica strain is my first real indica grow everything else has been sativa in the past so im especially pumped to see this one flower.

Rocking Stevie! It's getting pretty exciting. If it's only day 12 of flowering she could still stretch a bit more. Plus, the goal is yield, not height; the two are correlated IMO but not you cannot definitively say larger is better -- I have one stretchy pheno of DP's Think Different autoflower that but flowers very very slowly and not so dense.... maybe it will get there eventually but not worth the 90 days or so it's looking to take.

I'm very interested if the potency of this strain is indeed over 20%, as claimed on some sites (e.g., http://www.zamnesia.com/dinafem/2167-blue-thai-feminized.html), and if the yields truly can approach 600 g/m^2. That would absolutely rock!!

I think I'll grow this for my next run, maybe in coco?

Thanks for stopping by nuggetts, everyone on here has been a newbie at one point so no worries there. Your blue thai looks nice and healthy what kind of lights and soil are you using?. Im on day 18 flowering with mine and things are starting to pick up as we speak. Iv been doing some major cropping lately too, just trying to keep her canopy low and as even as possible. 001.jpg002.jpg003.jpg004.jpg005.jpg006.jpg007.jpg008.jpg009.jpg010.jpg011.jpg

Using a lightwise high output fluorescent (20k lumens) and 5 cfls on side. Soil is organic store bought with bone and blood meal added 2 weeks prior to start. Using 3tsp Alaska fish, 1 tsp bio grow, 3 tsp bloom.

Damn SS she is looking impressive. She is not missing a beat in that 3 gallon, I think that is going to be a good move on your part. She has a sick number of tops mate, I think she is stretching pretty good for how indica dom she looks. Nice and even man, looking sweet.

Thanks for stopping in guys! I like the 3 gallon way better than the 5, i use less nutes which in turn saves me money and the time it takes to make a 1 gallon batch instead of a 2 (not much time but those minutes add up to hours).

Day 23 flowering, i had to post some pics early cause this girl is just a stud and it would be a shame not to share her with you guys. By far the strongest strain ive grown its a sin though she would have made a great mom if i had the space.
