Blue Widow Marijuana Seeds

Blue Widow

Mostly Indica

Origin: California

Breeder: NCGA

"BlueBerry (female from British Columbia) x White Widow (Aloha male)

APPEARANCE: Very short plant, up to 80cm with short to medium internodes, no central stalk but rather many stems forming a bush almost as wide as tall. Fat indica dark green leaves turn more slender when flowering. Very consistent. Height, nodes and density are all very uniform.

Buds: Budding is slow at first, then it explodes with orange hairs forming thick, rock solid clusters covered in abundant shiny glands, all possessing an unmistakable blue hue to the tops. Good side branching will form dense solid buds with much resin everywhere, in between small thick leaves.

Taste/smell: Smelling like a strong house cleaner that tingles the nose, it is extremely tasty, with a sweet hashyberry flavor that explodes in the lungs.

High: Very strong, nice up, clear high, exhilarating, floaty, very visual buzz. It is more powerfull, and has a much better high than either BlueBerry or White Widow, but is not very heavy.

Yield: It is high, being an easy to grow plant. Budding is slow at first, but then explodes with thick solid clusters with orange hairs and a very high calyx to leaf ratio. The AK-47 is a good yielding plant inoors but the Blue Widow will out yield it - NCGA

"Here's a great tip for you people starting out. Don't get caught in the hype about how great Sensi, Serious, Sagarmatha and Greenhouse are. They are very good but they are just very good commercial pot. The strains have been around in some form or other for 5 to 10 years and lots of them have lost their original zip. However ... some of the new ones by NCGA tip the scales at excelent. Blue Widow is more powerful and has much better high then Sags Blue Berry and Greenhouse White Widow. Stoneblue absolutely destroys the original Stonehedge and Blue Berry that it was made from. Stronger, sweeter with bigger buds that still have distinct Blue Berry. The reason NCGA's strains are so much better is because of hybrid vigor. Not to mention their price is much much better." - Merry Gary

The review of NCGA's Blue Widow sounds great. But I cannot find more information or a site to buy their version. I wish I would have known about this strain before I made my decision. There is always next year and if Blue Widow and Stoneblue are that great we should hear more about them.

I'm sure Joey Weed's version is good I'd just like to find NCGA's.

I know ncga/asked about the availability of these seeds only a few months ago and was told that these seeds are not available for purchase anymore.

There are some folks who still have a few packs and some clones out there going around (as well as a few crosses that were made with it)...but other than that, if you buy Blue Widow seeds now they aren't from ncga.

good luck in your quest

Sounds a little like Blue Widow's a fable. Not because it didn't or couldn't exist now but just because it's unavailable. No telling when that review was written. Even the Stoneblue seems unavailable. Someone raving about two strains that blow all other seed companies away but unavailable is a little like the joke where a man is buying chicken and complaining to the store owner about the price being lower down the street at a store that's currently out of stock and is told by the store owner his price is lower than theirs when he's out of stock. :)

It's a little hard to imagine whey NCGA would have created such incredible strains and let them fade without getting them to breeders committed to holding the traits and making them stable but what do I know. Does NCGA even sell seeds?

ncga has moved on to other opportunities and responsibilities and no longer peddles seeds. It should be noted that this company was located within the US...so it's not all that hard to magine why they no longer take part in this activity from my perspective. FWIW, after the fall of C-bay/HS quite a few of the smaller breeders with quality strains went back underground or stopped making seeds for sale altogether. A few are resurfacing...a few are not.

I'd say joey weed's version will be the best bet for Blue Widow/crosses...not that anyone asked...

good luck

LOL, ngt....or like us in the US being in the Dam and hearing some of the Brits speak about how hard it is to find good bud and how tired they are of smoking "slab". (hash)

FWIW...TW is more legend than it is anything special..at least for my tastes/from the grows I did with her. (had the clone going as well as plants from s-1 seeds..which I still have a few seeds of) She buds well..and the smoke is decent in potency w/ a slight lemon/pine taste...but she's VERY lanky with weak stems and has to be tied up in bondage to keep her from falling over. A lot of folks really like her though.

good luck

I just harvested a blue venom from g13, which has the same gentic makeup.. Im not saying its the same but I imagine its pretty close...I havent smoked it yet but it both smells and looks great. This was my first grow and i had no problems with here..just needs a little nitrogen during the first fewweeks of flowering like most do.
