are they coco slabs your using
Hey, Yes most of them are in the original coco slabs made by canna. The bubblelicious (plants in full bud) are in the slabb trays but as i'd potted them when they were young to larger pots i couldn't re-plant into the COGR slabs, so i just brought a bag of coco and clay balls (for drainage) and planted in the slab trays and covered with some plastic to stop surface roots getting light. My room was setup for slab use so was eaisest to do this way.

thanks for your interest.

The slabs are great cause u can put 2 or 3 plants in them. they are easy to move, easy to work with and give great results. I re use them a few times aswell so saves a few bucks. i water with drippers, 6 times a day for 5-7 mins. Good for growing sea of green or SCRog.

Thanks for your interest, hope u keep dropping in.

allright doggone it, i got a couple of quesdtions for you. first, i noticed that it looks like you have two separate growing areas, is the two 600wt lights in each area? if so two thumbs up. second, how......in the hell...did you photoshop that can to make it look so small? tell me dammit!LOL. nah, that is impressive dude. that one cola looks like at least a quarter of an oz. dry, probably more. man i'm telling you the more i see you guys with these buds jacked up on 600-1000wt lights, the more tit makes me wanna step up my game and get me a couple of 1000's, because with the space i have at my disposal, my grow room would be bananas. because, correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't one 1000wt lights cover a 10'x10' area, or is it 6'x6'. anyway it goes though, right now all i have is two 400wt, and my flower area is 3'x8' and i'm cool with that for now. but just imagine two 6'x6', or 10'x10' areas,oh man the possibilities are ridiculous but like i said dude that shit looks great. BTW looking for a sativa with Psychadelic properties, know of anything off the top of your head?
keep up the great work dude!!

I'm really interested in this.

I've never done hydro before and I plan on checking it out for my next run. This seems like the easiest and best for hydro newbs.

I plan on making a few mommies and starting a hydro SOG, but like I said I'm still very much so a newb with hydro.

Would you recommend ebb & flo or another system?

i would recommend the coco. me personally i like the loose coco it is a little more hands off for me, and seeing that you are a beginner it would be great for you. the slabs are good, but IMO you will need some actual HYDRO experience, because it wil initially be a little bit too complicated. but hey thats what you are here for, and so was i, and pretty much everybody on here started green. but like i said IMO i think you should start with loose coco. water i maybe once a week, make sure it gets a good drain, and that's about it. and you dont have to use r/o, or distilled water, justv plain tap water. but hey like i said that just my opinion. hey check out my thread, it might help.

Hey Bros, Hows things ? Thanks for dropping in again. 1st answer the room is 1 large room. 4 x 600watt lights the room is 2.2m x 3.0m x 2.6m High. i have half the room 4 weeks behind or in front of the other, depending on which side your looking at. So i can Harvest every 4 weeks or so. Roughly Should be getting 30 Bags every 4 weeks once i'm running full sides. At the moment the side with the bubblelicious has only 7 plants but should have 18 like the other side.
Yeah photoshop lol , na i couldn't find any thing else i could use to compare to it. Man they are all like it but that 1 is like a mini basket ball.
I'd love to setup another room the same as what i have running on a flip flop relay so 1 room is on for 12hrs then flips to other room for 12hrs. 4 Ballasts 8 lights.
I started with a 400w and worked my way up. May be u could look at getting 2 x 600 i think they are ACE! never have used a 1000 but they seem to give good results i just prefer 600. Catch u soon.

Hey W1ckedchowda whats happening? i'd suggest drip system with coco, but being a newbie prehaps i would hand water to start with as u can have a better control on not over watering as coco can be over watered easily. My 1st run on coco was with 200mm pots with clay balls on the bottom 1inch (helps for drainage) i hand watered as needed when young letting the coco nearly dry right out, but careful it doesn't dry out to much when they are young as this may kill them. once they were big they didn't mind a bit of extra water and i was watering everyday in flower. Easy as can be!

Perfect, said like a pro, but one thing though if u are (w1ckedchowda) in an area where your tap water is hard u may need to use R.O.
Where i live my tap water comes out with 0.0 reading ppm/ec so i use straight tap water, to be honest i dont even Ph my water, but Definetly use Coco specific nutes i really recommend that!

hey man that is nice, from what i can see. let me ask you a question, i see that it looks like you are growing your plant untopped, am i correct. well if i am or not my query is: if i were to put a screen over my plants, how would i set it up, as far as distance over plants, when they grow do i thread the growing branches THROUGH the screen or let them run under the screen or what. the reason i'm asking is because i never topped anything before this last run. i ended up loving the way everything was able to get light almost everywhere, BUT i hated having to tie everything up because the buds were getting too heavy. and even with them being tied up they still didn't want to stay in one place, so every move that was made had brances swinging everywhere. and the other reason is because i saw how much more light can be distributed, and if the smaller buds could grow bigger if exposed to more light by being on the screen, instead of being partially shaded, then i need to know how to do that. so in your opinion is that the best way to grow? as far as yeild and sq. footage are concerned. what i mean by that is, if i had ten plants growing in the regular christmas tree fashion versus ten plants under a screen, which be be the bigger yeilder. just your opinion. thanks dude, maybe one day when my grow room grows up it'll be just like yours,LOL.
P.S. got me a 250wt hps ballast, mogul, reflector, and a 256cfm dayton squirrel cage blower for $120 on craigslist today so this weekend my mother cabinet is getting made. i think that this is all i need to solidify my perpetual grow, because now i can have my mothers growing providing fresh cuttings to go in the clone cabinet two weeks before my plants in the veg closet go out to flower. man i am sooooo excited!!!!

Hey bro, ok well where to start. As i veg for a few weeks (2-4) before planting in slabs they start to get to tall i top them. latley i have been Fimming them with really good results, and some of the ones that are in the right side have been fimmed. where as the bubblelicious 4 were topped other 3 were left natural just pulled over for 2 and the 1 with the ball bud is standing straight. ill post a link to a thread where it shows u how to fim and the benifits.(just in case u r not sure what fimming is) When i planted my plants they were just over a foot - 40cm tall. i had the net positioned about another 10cm - half foot (approx) above them, they took off under 12/12. I train some of the branches along the net to fill in empty spots once the canopy is pretty evenly covered add another layer of net (about another foot up) and do a 3rd layer if need be. the 2nd and 3rd layers are more just for support so those big, long, FAT colas dont fall over. the 1st layer is best for spreaing the canopy. hope this explains, i'm not real good at explaining what i mean. before the bubblelicious i was tying up when i could be bothered (never) and it was a hassle hated doing it thats when i saw a few Screen of green threads as i'd been doing sea of green i knew it would be ideal. now this way is efficient for me, ill get min of 30 bags from the right side (not the Bubblelicious) hoping for 2 bags a plant with those, but yeah thats hoping. prob only get 12 bags i think. never know they are so hard i cannot squeeze them! I do 18 semi small plants under 2 x 600s. i strip the lower stuff that amounts to nothing so only the top stuff gets big fattys. Just like the bubblelicious.
In my opinion u will get more with the screen that Xmas shape trees, u could also tie down like M Blaze.

Fimming thread - https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/200413-fimming-m-blaze-complete-how.html#post2573230

Cool man, $120 is wicked deal! you will be set once u got that setup. its so much fun setting up new rooms.

Hope this helps

Does that netting give you problems come harvest. I'm not understanding what it does indoors, I was thinking outdoors it helped support the limbs from rain and wind. Just soaking up your knowledge...thx
