i hear they are taking over florida. no known predators.
That is true, and also they are not indigenous but can live viably. There are even people dedicated to hunting them. They are a threat to the smaller animals because the snake's increased numbers threaten their population, which could potentially change Florida's expansive ecosystem.

i watched a program on it the other night. they are breeding in the wild, in FL. something of great concern.
