I had a LA Con clone from San Diego back 2013
Chaka Kahn is finally hanging. My forearms and hands are all sticky. Man what a smelly monster too haha. I'm not sure how to describe it I'm not getting pine anymore.View attachment 5385098
Now it just smells like fire ass weed lol. Maybe fruity musk. I'm terrible with smells lately. Let's just say extremely terpy and most likely very delicious!! It makes my mouth water. So sticky my pen was sticking to my fingers.

Here is my 4x4 tent, the two Dancing Lime Testers are on the left. DL #3 is top left and DL #4 is bottom left. I culled DL #5 (Male). So the Leaf Work DNA Sex testing worked. Today is day 21 of flowering. DL#4 seems to be taking her sweet time flowering. Now these DL have some amazing side branching. I didnt top none of them and their lowest side branches are already up near the main. Great canopy for a plant that hasnt been topped. They seem short n stout with huge fan leaves so I am sure in the next week or two I will learn more about their stretch. DL#3 is further ahead and has fuzzy sites already. The 2 plants on the right are Humboldt Seed Co Guzzlerz(top right) and OG Triploid(bottom right).

Really cool pic! Have you checked the entire plant for more of those leaves? There might be more, I dont know what it means but I just recently experienced the same thing with a plant I am growing right now from Humboldt Seed Co called Blueberry Cupcakes. I noticed some of the fan leaves had the extra leaf growing out of it during veg so I kept a very close eye on it. Fast forward to week 6 of flowering I saw pistils/bud sute growing out of the fan leaf. 1 week later a nanner started growing out of it so I plucked it prior to it releasing pollen.
Just keep an eye on those leaves. Also if anyone has any info on why plants do that please educate me. Thanks

A somewhat semi-educated guess: it’s the result of an on those particular spots unusual balance between two of the major plant hormones, auxin and cytokinin. It’s largely their balance and interaction that determine where branch, leaf or flower grows. One inhibits the other, so it could mean not enough of one to inhibit the other, or an accumulation of the other. There’s a ton of reasons that can cause that. For example if you top or heavily train plants you directly adjust the auxin levels and it takes a few days for the plant to regulate itself. Auxin is what makes a tree look like a xmas tree, or not ( like mushroom shape) and is produced at the tips, most at the roots and apex. When you cut the top off, there‘s less auxin to inhibit cytokinin which itself can make even males grow female flowers. Opposite situation can cause branches to grow in unexpected places. The fact yours grew nanners later on somewhat confirms my theory. Like I said, somewhat educated guess, it’s been a while but I read into this a lot trying to explain the whorled phyllotaxy in my plants, which I suspect has a similar cause.

ime it seems to happen primarily in potent plants that are well-fed and happy with their environment, like when you push them to the max in hydro or great soil grow. So usually nothing to worry about but good advice to keep an extra eye on those flowers.

The same thing just happened to my Bubble Gum. I let it grow naturally, and once the plant started to flower I noticed some oddly bent leaf branches near the node. During flower it looked like a caterpillar growing towards the leaf.

It's funny that this was brought back up, I had to chop her down early today at 65 days from flip. It started throwing nanners and I didn't want to risk it with the blue balls still needing a couple more weeks.

Your plants look great. Good calyx to leaf ratio and still lush and healthy green during late flower.
