30 days in flower...should have about 4 more weeks...4th pic is the runt, she is trying really hard...see the cute little buds. I'm not sure but I might re-veg her when I start my next grow. It would not let me do the 4th pic?

hey heruk...I am not sure, I always get more than I think I will get. I have one in soil and one in hydro and I am going to keep them seperate...that way maybe I will be able to tell which one produced the most. I think right now it looks like the hydro will produce more.

I think the hydro is easier to maintain and will grow faster and yield more, however from my understanding the weed is not as potent grown hydro as opposed to soil, I'm thinking wealthy, lazy, impatient people grow hydro or they are growing quantity for profit, but what do I know, as Grandfather would say .. "I'm probably wrong!

It's funny(not ha ha), the soil one, while healthy did not grow as fast in veg as the hydro. I put them into 12/12 at the same, same nutes, the only difference was the soil one I kept the lights on 24/7 while vegging. Now that they have been flowering for 32 days the soil caught up with the hydro. I think maybe the hydro has more bud. The only difference is the soil has had molasses. I plan on keeping them separate so maybe I can judge potentcy. Also, they are totally different in appearance, the hydro leaves are twisting and turning to get at the light and the leaves on soil kind of lay low to let the bud get the light...I will probably stick with hydro simply because I have all this stuff, unless the soil turns out to be obviously more potent.

yea thats so totally true eh....I can't wait to have the time and space to run these kinds of experiments....with say like a half a dozen strains...and play with this hobby even more....a lot of fun to look forward to! walk on!:blsmoke:
Very very interesting, I will definitely be watching. I love the side by side experiments, so much to learn.

ec - electircal conductivity
ppm parts per million
tds total dissolved solids

they are all an expression of essentailly the same thing....sort of....different units of measure

EC can be converted to PPM by multiplying by 500. PPM can be converted to EC by dividing by 500

TDS is the measuring of the amount of salts in a solution. For alot of applications the amount of salt is indicitive of the levels of other stuff in a solution.

yo bs
whats better for a metter
ec ppm or tds?
they are all the same right?
