Im not sure if you're joking or serious. But either way there is a huge difference. If you just set a shotgun up as a boobie trap a child out playing could get killed by mistake. You yourself could get shot. Your friends or family could get shot. One of your animals could get shot. Or a hunter that dosent realize he is on someones propert, or a law enforcement agent could get killed.

Kind of common sense really.

Possibly snake experts were brought in to wire up the snakes and stake them in their locations so the cameras could show them, I don't know. I only know what was show and what was said.

And when it comes to timber rattlers and copperheads, they are not highly venomous and not all that much of a risk for someone who lives around them and is used to them to handle. I don't have timber rattlers here, I only have copperheads, cottonmouth moccasins and a few coral snakes, and when you grow up around them or live around them long enough you get to know them pretty well and realize that the only one you really have to worry about is the one you don't see.

your location your reffering to sounds like a backyard... Im reffering to the mountains where everyone else grows, where its illegal to hunt, and also where there would be no kids walking around in bythemselves or with a family because of Mountain Lions, and if they do (Very unlikely), they would walk on the trails left by some animal (forgot the name), I doubt they would walk cow path style up a mountain to get to a higher elevation. (when i say cow path style I mean in circles but increasing height while moving in a circle since its not an option to move straight up without having to tear down some pretty big fuckin bushes :]

To the one originally wanting advice on 'booby traps'. Don't use anything that isn't already there. If you're too much of a puss to crawl through enough prickers (thronbushes, brier, whatever you wanna call 'em) to discourage any other person, you shouldn't be guerilla growing. Get yourself a nice little apartment and grow inside. I don't want to be mean, I just take it personal when people start putting up dangerous shit in the woods and highly disrespect all that is around you, and potentially me. Be smart, be safe.
