worth every penny, follow it precisely and it works like clock work.

i want to get some mango seeds like he uses in the book to see just how closely his results can be matched... not to mention i have never to my knowledge tried mango and trying different strains is part of what makes smoking fun :)

Thanks, let us know how you make out when you get to try the seeds.

I love this book. I read all over the internet and all of the help generally involves having a huge grow room and 1000w HPS's. This book is what I will be following when I get the chance. I just wonder if the $100 dollar budget is true (excluding seed cost).

first time out, not nearly as much as he got... but i started by just using stuff i had laying around the house instead of spending any cash... i like CFL's for my real lighting as is ;) but i just had a bunch of 13 watters... my total expenditure on the first try with his book (not counting the book) was the $3 or so it cost for the 12 pack of soda to make the light shields from the cans. LOL

sorry i cant give you a real answer, but it has been years since i profited off the herb so i dont have any scales.

couple ohs out of a cardboard box with some bag seed and a bunch of stuff i had laying around cant be beat though, can it?

BTW, clay pots are horrible to work with!

still working with bag seed because i havent worked up the balls to order seeds to my small town in the South, but i think this run will do a lot better than the last. on Day 20 right now and the smell is absolutely making me crazy!

JUST got done popping 4 more germinated seeds in to go for the next batch :D

really dig your stealth SCRoG setup too!

Ok.

His book calls for 6 42 watt CFLS... about 43 bucks at the site I'm using.
3 Pots.... 4 bucks
Soil - 6
Timer - 7
Rockwool cube - 2 bucks for a pack
perlite - 3?

So that's 65 without the construction of a grow room.

I'm probably going to follow Cajun's plans.... The tubs should be 40 total. Maybe 30 dollars more for random shit.

So like 150 bucks probably. Can Seemorebuds' results be replicated in such a small space though?

Well I looked on line to see if the book was in stock at the store near my house. Well it said it was so I went to pick it up. When I got the a girl at the desk said she would check for me (I'm on crutches) because the computer is often wrong. Well she was right and she also told me it is their most stolen book. We needless to say I had to order it.

good growing to you!

follow Garden Knowm's advice/methods in the book and things will work out for you... but dont be surprised if your yield is lower than his... he has game and used good seed stock for what he was trying to do.

it cost me about $150 to get things setup... i probably have under $300 into the whole setup now and i am growing 4 plants in flower and 3 in veg and 4 clones right now... did i mention i have been smoking my own bud for awhile again? as for yield... i cant give an honest answer because i dont have a scale anymore... but i got about an ounce dried out of the first plant.... i did a lot wrong.

if you are growing from bag seed, be ready to tie those puppies down now and again... dont worry, it wont hurt and it will help if you use care :D

between that book and this forum you should be able to produce your medicine and be a seriously happy camper :blsmoke:

Well I guess I have about $300 into it. I know I got carried away but I figured get all I can know while the wife is okaying it.
I don't know how Seemorebuds does it for under $100. The 6 42 watt bulbs and reflectors alone are more than that.

The seeds came from an experienced care giver/grower so I'm hoping they are better than normal bag seeds.

Thanks for the support.

LOL yeah man, the Missus barely said it wouldnt freak her out anymore and those seeds were popping up through the soil :D

ask your friend you got the seeds from what the strain is... knowing what your plant is helps a lot... for instance, trying a sativa plant using the methods in the book would probably prove very difficult without some planned compensation... like tying that puppy down early and extending the flower time... or if they are lowryders changing to a 12-12 light schedule would hurt.

as for how he did it cheaply, price shopping :D for example, Lowe's sells the small bag of MG soil for $6 here... Ace sells the BIG bag for $6. pots at Lowe's: $2... pots at Ace: $8.... also, with gas prices as they are, i am sure the price on everything (specially energy saving stuff) has steadily gone up on us without our really noticing. i get my CFL's cheap though cause there is a factory here and i have a friend who works there... $1 each, go me :D

Actually we just met at a ripatients.org card holders meeting. It was my first time.

Wow, you could have sold them to me at $5 each plus shipping and made some money. I would have got a dozen from you. LOL!!!! I'm adding you to my favorites!!!!

Some where a long the line I confused books. I had the lights set to 18 hours instead of 24 hours. Today I reset it to 24 hours. It's only the 2nd full day so it should be ok. I'll just add 2 days at the end of the Veg cycle if I have too.

I had to start a new sprout because I thought I lost 2 of my 3 plants. It's about a week and a half behind the other 2 plants. Yes 2 plants 1 of the 2 that I thought died came back. Any way will changing the 24 hour Veg stage length of time a week longer for the older plants or a few days shorter for the new plant affect the plants life when it goes into the flowering stage and if so how?

i find its a good read

but it doesn't include things like: oder control or space issues

all of which were a big factor for me, so like it was great to read about how cfls and timing and everything, but it costed me a lot more due to those restrictions
