I don't think moving from fox farm to botanicare or the other way around is going to make any difference. I actually really like the tiger bloom NPK ratio from fox farm so if you have that, don't replace it. You shouldn't need to feed with any more than about 5mls per gallon so do the math and figure out the best size for your needs.

I do have tiger bloom, but the bottle is about 1 year old and was stored somewhere slightly warm, will that still be good?

hmmmm, still havnt gotten sold on this stuff yet, the guys at the hydro shop love it, but know one can tell me why, or how its better than fox farm. I have heard rave reviews about liquid karma though, main reason i was thinking of switching. Wonder If I could use liquid Karma with the fox farm line?

There is nothing wrong with the fox farms stuff, I have used it in the past although I only used it for veg. The thing I didnt like about the FF stuff is, you can get by with the grow/big bloom for veg or tiger bloom/big bloom for flowering but pretty quickly your going to plateau and have to buy the cha ching, beastie bloomz and open sesame in order to get some bigger tastier buds. If you use the PBP line, I think the total line can be used for a lot less with similar results to the FF entire line or better with the PBP line (grow, bloom for soil, liquid karma, silica (I use a different brand now), aqua shield, hydroplex, sweet, cal mag). You can use decent tap water (aerated) with either line of nutes, thats what they are meant for according to both manufacturers.

But honestly if you buy either of the lines and follow the instructions (as well as starting out @ 1/4 to 1/2 strength) and getting familiar with the nutes you should be able to grow some dank with either of them, it boils down to cost and availability. I have access to both for fairly reasonable prices and I went with the botanicare. Pick a line and stick with it for a few grows.
