So how do the boveda packs work? Do you dry for a couple days and then throw them in a jar with the boveda packs and thats it?

Boveda packs are to use in your jars during the curing process, keeps an even humidity level.
You dry as usual before the cure.

First you dry, then you put the Boveda pack in your jars for as long ass you have buds in the jars, be it weeks, month, years. When using for extended periods, check the Humidipak, if it gets hard it should be replaced or restored to its original texture. Google on how to revive your Boveda there is good information.

Just a word of warning - Boveda packs will not prevent mold IF your buds aren't properly dried. If you notice the buds clumping together after they've been in the jars a few hours, then you're NOT dry enough. You'll need to dump the buds into a paper bag with a hygrometer to wick out the excessive moisture for 4 - 12 hours. Last year I thought one jar was dry enough and didn't burp it for a few days and the jar developed an ammonia/musty smell. All the others with Boveda packs that were opened daily were just fine.
