Hey Jig......I was in my room last night and say a few more banana's on 1 plant- coming out of the bulb on the stem where the branch nodes are. Do u know what I'm talking about? Just a single banana sticking out at each branch level. This one plant was the most hermaphroditic of the plants left in the room- and seemed most intent on putting out the male pods. I almost chopped it a few weeks ago knowing she was being stubborn- but I left her and checked her over more often. Anyway, looks like she's seeded.....hairs are dying back, just has that small seeded bud look. Be aware............midnight tonight is 4 weeks flowering for them now.

:( That's a bummer. I hope it didn't get seeded for you. Just fyi, I just pulled a 'runt' from my room. I had thought she was seeded as the hairs were going brown way quicker than the rest, kinda looking burnt (if that makes sense). From trimming it up I didn't notice any seeds actually. Hopefully you have a similar one. Either that or you'll have a nice stock.

And I do know exactly what you mean about them being along the stalk, just singles like that. Ain't it an odd trait?

EDIT: I tried the bud I pulled at 6.5 weeks and it was very nice. I'm looking forward to trying it cured finally. Pics in my thread if you are interested: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/567561-vert-scrog-flooded-tube-banana.html

Yup.......just keep a close look out thru the grow as things sometimes pop out of no-where. I expect the "seeded" plant to finish within a few weeks as the seed pods are swelling and the white hairs are dwindling away. I don't mind really cause it gives me a chance to smoke something different and as my buddy Larry has always said (that's for u Larry if you are following along), seeded bud has a fullness in flavors and taste that sometimes surpasses regular smoke. The rest of the room appears fine.....I just don't think enough pollen is/was being produced to pollinate anything further than a few inches away. I won't use these seeds and they'll be chucked (unless someone wants them) since is the tall, lanky pheno (low producer) with the hermie tendency....... I'll post a picture of it later today when I'm able......

I dont see what the problem is. Free fem seeds that'll more than likely be carbon copies of the mum. I love it when a seed grown dog finishes cuz i get a few diamonds in the harvest. Never get seeds from the dog clones ive had.

The problem is, as I see it, the females produced by those seeds will have the hermie traits too. It's better to seed a non-hermie female to get rid of the trait.......

In the 2nd pic, you can see the extent of the resin on the sun leaves........ it's going to be loaded when finished!

No, except when I'm fighting off some mites. On some leaves you'll see some shine.....which is leftover from Mighty Wash and then Power Wash to clean them off. But I generally don't like to spray anything (from fertilizer to insect killer) on them. But both of these items are mild enough to have no effect on their general health.

I'm the same way, I don't like to spray, but it's a great remedy for certain things. You seem to be doing a good job keeping those bastards at bay. Mostly when you hear people fighting them off, things look like it's a war. Sorry if you already said, but how long do you think the green poisons have left. They look real fat for having purely white hairs.

This has been my commercial crop for over 2 years now. It's a great feminized strain with unknown genetics (Sweet Seeds won't release it) that was on it's way out until I did a fantastic documented grow on a few sites and sales shot up, increasing the seeds prices by like 30%. Sweet Seeds (Tommy G.) basically acknowledged as much to me and offered me some goodies, but wouldn't ship them to the U.S. for my work. They claim it's done in 7 weeks, I let mine go to around 61-62 days, sometimes less. Great yield, fruity and spicey tasty buds, very uniform grow, stays rather short except 1 pheno that's medium height, handles nutes well and is not picky but loves Mg, seeds always pop 100% of the time and are reasonably priced, smells sweet and is not overly stinky until the end- get the picture? The high is a nice mix (70%/30 sativa) of both - starts in the head, eyes, forehead and eventually hits the body with a relaxing hammer. Not the strongest smoke, maybe an 8.5/10, but overall considering all the above- it's my signature strain and people love it. I should be changing my name (SSHZ) to (GP)...........

Well bad news on The Dog......most of the plants are throwing off male bananas and most of the crop is seeded...........go with the BX1 and stay away from the feminized- it's a disaster. Sorry guys, wanted it to be better. I'll decide tonight whether to chuck the crop and start over or just let it finish up and live with the 10,000 seeds I'll have to pluck from the buds. But, either way- very disappointing. In my mind, the room is a total loss and a waste of time, money, work, etc........... I'll probably stop documenting too- it's just depressing.
