Breeding new strains (Is this correct?)

So, I'm trying to understand the basics of breeding marijuana to get the desired traits. I came up with a simple variable based explanation.. I am curious If I have gotten the concept right. (If anyone can see anything wrong let me know.) thanks!

Note: This is all assuming I am picking the progeny with the desires traits in each step.

(Intent purple colored buds, with excellent crystal production, and with a blueberry smell)

blueberry x white-widow = Z

Best Sample of (Z) X blueberry male = Y

Y x Z = N (backcross)

N x Z = A (sqaure)

A x GDP = B (New Genetics added granddaddy purp)

B x A = C (best sample of gdp x bb x ww picked, backbred to the squared BB/WW)

C X A = D (best sample of C picked, squared against the original ww/bb square)

D X A = E ( Bred both squared genetic lines together WW/BB and the WW/BB/GDP)

Select Best E and make self pollinated fem seeds

i did some quick math. A= 87.5%bb 12.5%ww E=82%bb 12%ww 6%gdp

I don't know if the actual 'amounts' of each strain matter; only that they inherit certain characteristics that you want. So if your progeny of (A) retains blueberry smell and high tricome production, that's all that matters.

Then if E retains the original blueberry smell trait, the high crystal trait, and the purple colored trait.. we should be good no ?

or would this require more/different breeding? I am just learning atm.

idk, i am a math guy, not a biology guy. But i think with mostly bb in your lineage it should be easy to keep everything you like about bb plants. with the ww and gdp you will have to be specific in trying to isolate a trait from them you want to keep, if i am understanding it correctly. it should be a fun project that takes you a few years. anyone else have more experience with genetics?

I'm reading about breeding still to do my own cross, hopefully 1 day I will do it and I would go for taste and strentgh,,, reading the hardy Weinberg and the punnet square things really hurts my head sumtimes. Reading same things over and don't understand still
