the other day i sent a letter to general hydroponics europe. in the UK we dont have the same GH products available. most of the heisenberg tea recipes start with ancient forest. the GH EU line does not have it so i sent a letter to them to find out whats going on. i will copy a part of my question and their response. i would like you to comment on the use of diy biofilters and about what do you think of his advice. how viable is this compared to stuff like recharge /also not available in my country/ and great white or voodoo juice?

question:
"I have a last question. I have red about brewing beneficial bacteria tea in many websites referred as the 'Heisenberg tea'. The most important main ingredient was ancient forest from your US line and you supposed to brew that in a bucket with an airstone for 48 hours then feed their incrised population to plants to help fight pythium and get exploding root growth due to their capability to make nutritients more Avaliable at the root zone.

Does this ancient forest have an equalent in EU I could use to brew tea?
Or just use root plus and bio roots?
Thanks "

"For this purpose you could had directly BM (Trichoderma) or Subculture (Trichoderma + Streptomyces) in your tank, best would be to had a Biofilter (buy it or DIY with 50%coco and 50%clay pebbles in a 3L socket 24/24h under waterfall).

These are the most effectiv and resistant beneficial micro-organism to protect against Pythium and Fusarium, and they are big organic materials eaters. We use them in hydro, coco, soil with minerals or organics nutrients.

Also, our liquid GeneralOrganics line is not pasteurized which means that beneficial life will come with. Bottles have specific caps to maintain an aerobic environment inside."

General hydroponics is now owned my Scotts lawn care and is not ideal for plant growth, despite popularity and ease of use, from any research I have done.

Tell me what you think cause I'm also trying to get a nice nutrient solution recipe pieced together
