Broke off solder pad on Vero 29, any way to repair?

I was soldering my cobs together, and didn't realize how fragile the solder contact pads are attached to the COB on the Vero 29, just a gentle tension from bending the wire cased the solder pad to snap right off! Is there any way to fix it or is the COB busted?

I wanted to just use the molex Pico-EZ mate instead but the max voltage is listed at 130 and my 4x38v COB series is 152v.

The molex are 300v. This is according to the data sheet.

Do you have a link to that, because on the website's datasheet is says the max voltage is 130v.

It was 130v for gen 6, 300v for gen 7.

Hrm, maybe I'll try to contact them to confirm, because the datasheet on that page is the one I linked to and it says 'Voltage (max.): 130V'.

if you click on literature from the link you gave,go to page 2 it says 130v max.if these were 300v i would be all over them,such a nice design

So, any way I can reattach this contact pad? I can't believe how easily it came off, I wasn't rough with it at all. All the others are fine so maybe it was just a defective one.

That's weird, I swear I remember Robin or someone confirming these pico's on the gen 7 were an upgrade over gen 6. I just can't find the info atm.

i use gen 6 and use pico connectors for my 4 run in series never had any problems and it has been a year just over. So i think your fine using the pico's my2cents.

p.s or send it back on warranty there covered for 10 years.

Well I just used hot glue to stick the pad back onto the COB, and by some miracle everything lights up. Hopefully the COB doesn't get hot enough to melt the glue. Will be posting pictures soon of the sloppiest COB build this forum has ever seen haha.

You might wanna switch out to high heat epoxy. cobs DEFINITELY get hot enough to melt hot glue.

That's not true. The data sheet says 130V. You shouldn't spread such info unless you're sure.

guys 500Volt is for the new Vero29 SE, ie the built in holder is 500volt

Thanks, I knew it was 500v, just didn't remember it's the SE's. Thought I was going crazy for a second...

Basically Bridgelux have partnered with BJB who have designed the holder component for them

He has them on his site if I'm not mistaken. They're on Digikey also, $25 or $30. None in stock yet though.

Nice so basically the same price as the gen7 i just got from digikey.i wanna say i just paid 26 bucks each for the 37v cobs
