I gave the JTR (Pandy's mom) in my current grow 66% SS and only vegged her for a week after transplant. She only in a 4 gallon pot. 2 weeks into flower and I'm already thinking about top dressing with more SS. These girls like their food!

I bet you'll keep here happy in a 10 gallon pot with 70% SS. That's gonna be quite the bush!

Here are some shots of the Pandora's Box #4 at day 55 right before putting her into a dark room. I'll leave it in there for a few days and then go ahead and harvest. I love THC driven, strong speedy highs so I not worried about pulling it maybe a few days before others would (Snafu I believe you pull it at 61?). My night time temps have been in the low 60's, with the daytime around 73-74 and some purple has started to show through in the last few days.

Overall, the plant was a breeze to grow. It liked to shoot out lower branches that once I performed a little bondage on the plant, they became almost like the two main tops themselves. Not a ton of stretch so I plan to veg HUGE from now on. It seemed to be a very hungry plant, and I expect my future runs to be at the 65%-70% SS percentages.

Smell has transformed from a sweet combo of cherry and lemon, to a fuelish, acrid, skunky form of cherry and lemon that almost make your eyes water. :-P
I will post dry weight once the buds are dry and then a smoke report after that.:leaf:

Here is the Pandora #10 still happily vegging along. A couple problems I have encountered: my bulb in the veg room desperately needs changing and it is effecting growth. While things are healthy and I am not to worried about it, the plant is vegging very slowly (perhaps also due to the JTR mother, I believe Sub said it grows really slow in veg) and I may end up vegging longer than I had planned. I keep hearing Sub's voice from the recent Weed Nerd episode saying "it's not about veg-time..its about plant size before pulling the trigger".....or something to that effect..I like what he said about vegging until getting a thumb-sized stalk before pulling the trigger.

Also, the plant has done some of the usual 3-fingered leaf growth because of the small time period of 12/12 I placed this plant in to sex it. LAST TIME I DO THAT! I just do not enjoy small pre-flowers and 3 fingered leafs on my vegging plants.

Watering is at 6.5 ph when plant gets light. Temps at 74-75 during day and 68-70 at night. (18/6) Due to the weak growth from my weak veg light, I will wait to compare phenotype similarities/differences between #4 and #10 until #10 is flowering.

Nice job! Yes, I pull at 61. You have a keen eye for the Pandora's Box...what you described is right on point. It stretches little after flip, so it is best to grow them big(speaking of the preferred Subcool PB pheno). Some of the other phenotypes can actually stretch quite large...more on that later.

I drop in about 60-70% concentrated soil(very similar to "Super Soil") in 5gal Smart Pots for my Pandora's Box, they are a hungry lot...all the phenotypes.

To be honest, pulling at day 50-55 is actually pretty awesome. The smell is straight up cherry lemonade, very intense and wonderful to smell. The head is very racy, and you can just keep hitting it like candy. However, I find the stone to be too "up/racy" for my liking, so I take it around 60/61, it has become my preferred head for PB. The only thing that sucks about this timing, however, is the cherry/lemon smell turns into a funky baby poo smell that is very intense and dank. It is welcoming for me, but I prefer cherry lemon fuel scents more:) The head at this time is a nice sativa euphoria but a mellow body effect. I like it.

Turning back to the phenotypes, I had 4 this time, which makes my total now of different phenos to 6. Four were essentially identical.

This past grow I FIM'ed three(I don't recommend FIMing PB) for experimentation purposes. Those three all grew to the exact same height(almost four feet each--stretchy), but all very different in growth patterns and appearances. One lanky, wispy sativa with airy buds. One intense donkey-dicked colar with a very atypical-PB smell, and the looks were quite different. The last, a pheno that smelled like straight baby poop mixed with hash...and had a similar appearance to the Vanilla Kush right next to it...(I know weird for a sativa based hybrid)

The other pheno were the rocket shaped crystal laden nuggets of dankness, again, some of the best looking plants in the tent...and they were surrounded by other good genetics.

Alas, I ramble...I hope you dont mind my lengthy post here...just thoguht Id let you know what I have seen with ol Pandy

Snafu,
I don't mind at all! I enjoy hearing what others think/experienced with their grows with the same strains.

I just had to get on here to post my experience with some barely dry Pandora's Box.
Last night, being all out of meds and in some pain, I cut up about 3 bowls of Pandy that is barely dry. I mean like "I am embarrassed to be doing this dry"
I consumed all of it pretty quickly out of my Da Buddah Vaporizer and got TORE UP. I mean seriously, seriously ripped outta my skull. Anyone with a low or even medium tolerance would have been bugging the hell out, way too high.
I don't usually tell people about weed that hit me as super-duper potent, but I had been smoking C-99 and Sour D bubble as well as quite a few wax dabs in the last week and I was more ripped feeling last night on this Pandora's box than I have felt in a LONG time. :leaf::clap::hump:

Formal smoke report/dry bud pictures coming soon.....

I think the strength of Pandy is one of the best kept secrets - even though Sub says "Not for occasional smokers" right on their brochures. She can send you into a tail spin.

I have some pandy, jtr and vortex from tga. Anyone have advice on which would be best for my first supersoil run? Jtr looks like a heavy ass feeder so I wondered if pandy or vortex might be better for a ss noob?

That is a badass lineup Johny! Pandora has been a heavy feeder for me too. Vortex was maybe a little less but could still take the juice for sure (never really burned it up at all). I'd just read back though the TGA descriptions for each strain and pick whatever sounds like the most fitting for you right now. Both Vortex and Pandora performed exactly as I expected from the descriptions for me. Man Vortex was good. I will be growing her again for darn sure. Really any bean you pop there is going to be straight fire!

Thanks bshdctr! I am leaning towards the pandy right now. I have a 12 plant limit so I can only do one strain at a time with regular seeds since I have to sort he males. I am gonna pop some pandy in a 1 gal smartpot and transplant to 7 gal with 60% ss and see how it goes. Thanks for your input! Your grow is looking top notch;)

I think you'll be happy with that move. Pandy will definitely be in regular rotation in my garden for a long time. Im already dreaming of running her outdoors this summer. Can't wait for that!

Man that Pandy is looking great. Keep up the good work. My little Pandy is doing great and I am loving the plant structure so far!

This is the first time i've grown Pandora's Box...i'm at day 41 and it looks like someone dumped a bag of sugar all over my plant!!
But are you saying if i wait until day 60, i'll be looking at couch lock? the hairs are turning, tricomes are still clear/white, but it doesn't look close to harvest time to me.

Chichi- Nice! Sounds like Pandora is always insanely frosty:) I am getting ready to do a formal smoke report on my Pandora harvested at day 57 (I think...maybe 58 ) and the effects are about the furthest thing from couch lock you could get. Psychedelic, speedy, intense, motivating, pain-killing, and visual distortion are what I am experiencing. Seems a little longer in flowering day (60+) would take the edge off of what 57-58 days gives, and make it less speedy but still strong and uplifting. I had maybe 10% amber trichomes after drying from my day 57-58 harvest. Have fun with your harvest soon!
Peace and Pot- :leaf:

Couch lock doesn't exist with Pandora....even well-flowered and cured for a while...it will still be like a rollercoaster.
