Allllrighty so I have three 1000 watts, using a scrog set up, i just started flower so i have 9 ish weeks untill the veg gets moved into flower .. this time around im going to try fewer plants so i have nine plants that i did not throw into flower this time around, they are going to continue to veg, they are about 1.5 ft tall topped so about equaly wide. Right now they are in the 3 gallon plant warrior buckets my question is ... should i transplant them to bigger buckets im gna have three plants per 1k light or do you think that they will still get big enough in the 3 gal buckets , im worried that veging another two months and then flowering them they may get root locked and not reach max potential..

They are in 3 gallon pots i usuialy run 18 plants under three 1000s im going to try 9 plants under the 3 1000s with an extra two months of veg so im wondering if i should upgrade to a bigger pot size since the plants are gna be a total of 4 months veg before they flower ... what i usuialy do is two months of veg and then flower and use the 3 gallon pots the whole time but since im adding two more months i was just wondering if id be ok to leave them or if i should get bigger pots

My goal is to acheive the same yeild with fewer plants so i have the feeling i may need to transplant them into a larger bucket .. get more roots kickn .. ive never vegged for four months before so i dont know if ill have any issues with it being in that small of pot the whole time , basicly a half of year in a 3 gallon bucket

I need fewer plants in flower so i can start more seeds in veg without going over my limit half ofthe seeds are gna possibly be male so the more seedlings i get going the better so im trying to work something out .. if u have advice please share you seem brilliant with ur replys so far

Think about how many 3gallon pots you could fit in that space.. the more root space the better. After that time frame my plants are moving into a 36 gallon container before flower. You can fit 3 under a 1k...
Or 12 5 gallon pots.
I wouldn't flower in 3gal even 12/12 from clone..

How does that make sense to you. Its like trying to pull a half lb out of a solo cup, you have so much to work with. Pot size definitely the limiting factor

Maybe pot size is where im going wrong .. i know i hear like gram per watt a lot .. last harvest i got a little over 1300 grams but run 3k lights so im no where near that mark , ive always been happy with it because its enough to get me by for the next few months but ill give it a try upgrading pot size .. do you always transplant into bigger pots befor u flower
