Wow man. Really impressive buds. I love seeing these threads. It's so encouraging for me. I hope I get a yield half as good as that. +rep for sure.

Yo Gastanker, how did you get those microscopic pics of the trichs? Can any digital camera zoom in that close? I've got a 7MP camera and I'd love to get some pics like that of my AK47.
Most digital cams can take pics like that. I use a cannon powershot - nothing special. On my camera I have a macro function and then a digital macro function. I find the digital is much better for the really really close shots but a pain to focus. Have to snap off tons of pics for one good one and you need to keep you hand really really still - most macros have a slow shutter speed and sinse you're close every movement is amplified.

But when you do snap a good one boy does it talk. :)

Thanks man! It's these threads that got my buds so great. I think all the comments and love add to the trich count :)

you can use it for both veg and flower but I would suggest getting some 6500k as well for vegging and at least another 68 watt for flowering. And just an FYI 68w is the equivalent in brightness according to human eyes as a 300w incandecent - this does not mean it is a 300w bulb or equivalent to a 300w HPS.

If you're going just one plant in that dresser and you're keeping it small you could probably get away from 2 68w 2700k (or whatever they are) and a couple 23 or 45w 6500k for both veg and flower.

Hope this helps!

yea i need to purchase a 6500K bulb for my flowering plant and another 2700K for my vegging plants... broader spectrum is better

Yup - more light is always better. I would like to start going CFL/HPS - CFL for veg and as supplimentary lighting on flowering and HPS as main light for flowering. Perhaps when I move. As of right now there is no way I could run an HPS due to heat.
