Bud rot taste, getting worse no signs of mould

Hey guys,

I need some help. The last two harvests have ended in tradegety. I didn't notice anything on my plants at harvest time but while curing the smell and taste of the buds got worse and worse.

I water cured the first harvest a few months ago and when drying the plant I noticed rust looking particles left behind. In hindsight I assume this was leftovers from PM.

The weather is cold and damp in Melbourne and I do live in a swampy area.

My last harvest looked so perfect. The only thing I noticed was how quickly the hairs turned amber. It was almost overnight. I should have known that color changes that quick probably means PM.

For my next grow I bought a new tent, organic citric fungicide, a microscope, pingi dehumidifiers. I will take my grow out of the garage and into a spare room to increase ventilation and control temps better.

Going to be a pain in the ass if my landlord decides to inspect but oh well.

Rather then waste the bud I am conducting an experiment. Right before It turned full on gank I put the lot into jars and filled with water and diluted peroxide. I have heard a good water cure can help, I have read anything about adding hydrogen peroxide. So far the water has been brown and green.

My question is, are my assumptions correct that hairs changing color so quick is a sign of infection?

If prevention was impossible should I have tried to kill the mould before it got worse before harvesting?

Hairs turning brown is normal after harvesting. White hairs can turn brown overnight during drying, so that alone is not a sign of mold.

Sorry, can't help as I've never experienced mold.
