double jj so so beautiful man. def considering this for next yrs grow. i only have abotu 2.5 lbs dry to worry about this season and thats not even
all @ once thats when all my plants have been harvested over the course of liek 4-5 weeks.but
next yr hoping to get in the double digits lbs and be a boss like urself and GB , etc. rock on man ur doing it right lol

and u have ur wife helping u man. a girl who supports ya is clutch broo some girls be bitching about
there bfs growing/trimming/buying/smoking u name it man. u got a keeper, then again u know that u put a ring on it! lol
kudos man happy harvest.
I took down 4 lights of indoor in 8hrs, 2 drying racks, came out to 6.6lbs dry...

I harvested 1st stage greenhouse tops in 16 hrs, 4 drying racks full, 10lbs dry...

Took down side garden tops on Monday and filled 2 more drying racks... dry weight has yet to be determined.

This machine allows me to work by myself very efficiently and when adding a person or two in the mix you have assembly line take downs...

Sure beats paying $200/lb for hand trim... especially when the market isn't supporting paying 10-20%/lb for trim work...

im only 22 yrs old but ive already been with my girl since i was 14. now been living with her
since 20. and shes amazing. helped me water/ Feed/trimm this harvest . she cuts my labor in half
most of the time and im super thankful she prolly put in like 60% of the time i did which is impressive.

its cool to have a best friend always there to help you......
and do you..... haha

Damn garlic train thats alot of yield u lucky bastid. lol
i only just harvested 2 of my 8 plants in my tent. there all only about 24 inches.
harvested a NLx BB and a GSC and im thinking about 3 oz dry combined from the 2 of em.
next week tho i got my 8 foot outdoor monster coming down. hoping shes a lb + dry.
but next yr i wanna do 2 20x10 greenhouses and have @ least 12 monsters.
started 12 this yr but had 5 males. next yr gonna go from clone and start in febuary.
my 8 footer started in june so i plan to have some fucking beasts next yr.

I like the sound of that. Being able to take down more myself and work more efficiently. Even if the market pays a bit less for machine trimmed product not paying for trim work might make that even out. Plus if I can take down more at once, and dry more at once, then I can grow more to make up the difference.

I've been looking at those machines. My hang up is that they batter the buds around severely. It would be really awesome if you could take one untrimmed bud, take a few shots of the trichomes on it, then run it through the machine. Once you've run it, if you could scope those trichomes again, and see if they have had their heads smashed off or not. I'm just suspicious of automated processes (like an Amish person) and I've seen a machine similar (or the same as yours) in operation and thought "Holy, hell. I've never whacked my buds around like that."

If it's too much work to do a before and after on the trichomes, I'll understand. But so far, that's my only hang up with them. If the product is stronger and better when trimmed by hand--despite the pain--it's going to fetch a better market share. In the future, I'm sure they'll come up with some sort of gentler trimming device.

With market prices dropping all the time, I think hand trimming will soon be a thing of the past. Can't afford to pay $200 to trim $500 worth of weed. The only way to make a profit is to reduce your time invested. I've trimmed a lot of weed by hand over the years, and this machine does a very good job. I will never trim by hand again. I doubt you would find much difference if you hand trimmed a bud & machine trimmed a bud and had them both tested for THC%. This is what horse & plow farmers used to say about tractors..........Amish people still use horses......

Thanks bro, this thing actually works better than I expected. I'm very pleased with it. I'll buy $5 of dry ice and make Keif.....I use it as a topper in my vaporizer.:eyesmoke:
I also LOVE keif as a bowl topper, but have just been using a good old fashioned keif catching grinder - it's slow. Looks like your way pretty much kicks ass - do you just put the trim & dry ice in the bucket together & shake? Does the ice freeze off the trichs & then evaporate w/o getting shit wet?
Thanks SO much for ALL ur info JJ - I'm pretty much in love w/ you just so you know, and yes, I see that you're very happily married - which is part of the reason you rock so hard!!! lol I LOVE the pic of you & ur wife & the cabin you built. SO COOL!!! You've also inspired me to do a carport grow next year, and may have to hit you up for advice (your thread on carports is awesome). Sorry to ramble on, I is a chatty stoner gal :)

Mine arrived today. The blades scraped the deck pretty bad when I first set it up, but after a few "adjustments" to the blades it was running fine. Once you see one in person it's clear why it costs 5% of what the big boys cost, but who cares. If it last for 4 or 5 harvests I'll be happy. If it lasts through this harvest, which I'm sure it will with no problem, it will save me twice the cash I paid trimmers last round.

Thank you for your kind words, I'm pleased to hear that I have helped your growing. It's hard to go wrong with a cheap carport, they work so very well. The cabin help me work thru a lot of PTSD from the war. It was very therapeutic, kept me focused on the right things.........now about Dry Ice Hash; if you pre-freeze your trim it will work a lot better. Try not to over shake it, stop shaking as soon as you see even a tint of green. Stretch some silk screen tight, over the bucket opening & shake. Good luck, I'll help you all I can.......P.S. Thank you...blush!!!

Yeah it's a VW not a Ferrari...lol....but it will put on some miles for you. Don't over load it, small batches work best. Good luck bro.....

I'm gonna give it a go with dry ice, I won't bother with bubble hash. Thanks bro..
I may just skip the dry ice. I just ran some of the dried trim/confetti thru my vaporizer and it smokes like bud! It's just pre-ground. Damn, I love my vaporizer,,,,

Why not pony up and buy a good trimmer? I'd hate to spend 500 $ and only have that thing last a season. Spend the money up front and cry once. Or go cheap and cry twice is my motto.

That's like saving up for a Bentley when I just need to get to work tomorrow. lol No, this thing has already paid for itself. It's just a real no frills basic model. I would never grow enough to justify spending the money on an expensive one. Actually I see no reason is won't last for many years. I'm already thru with it for this season and it's barely broken in. For $500 this machine is a gem.....
