Nah the leaves are still green tbh, only few crispy bits i ussualy take all fan leaves as they get big, picked all the popcorn crap from botton and fresh is still growing. Cheers

Edit:
The crisper bits are more at the top of the plants.
I just watered them again today.

hard to tell, use a digital camera.

anyway, advice.. buds will produce hairs and it'll appear they all turn color. then after this more hairs begin appearing if all is well in the soil, the calyxes swell as these new thicker hairs grow and when they turn color you can be sure you have a ripe plant. that being said you'll want a microscope or jewellers loupe in the future.

Ok so trichomes on the sugar leaves and where the brown hairs come out on that part. I grabbed a 10 megapixel with macroshot, so should be able to take some quailty photos once the batteries have charged.

Just buy this and chop when the plant is the ripeness you desire

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/351537026302
I have one of these. It works great when you set it on a flat surface and place whatever you want to look at under it. However; it is very difficult to focus holding it while using. A loupe works much better if you want to just take a peak without removing anything from the plant.

Its kinda hard to tell from those photos. It looks like there are quite a bit of cloudy trichs which is good, maybe even some amber upper left part of the photo on the edge of that greener leaf; but I can't tell for sure.

You need to zoom in about twice as much as the last picture to really tell. You can't really see the actual individual trichomes to tell how far along they are. Just from what I can see it looks close but still need closer trich pictures.
