Budmaster lights

The serial on mine says C121235H5 which is the Series 4 CLU46 high CRI 3500k (Min 90)
The 2nd Serial reads: F15624 HF0419 which shows manufacture date June 2015, but don't know what else the serial shows.

I don't know if the ones offered on the Budmaster website are the same as what I have, as I was one of the 1st growers to get the citiled cobs from them, so things may have changed, and may not have...

supposedly Evergrow started selling the Budmaster designed LEDs to other companies and got caught
Makes no sense man, so how does Sanxinbao/evergrow steal a design if they are the ones manufacturing it in the first place?

Well whatever happened, if Budmaster is sourcing all their parts and assembling locally now than all the power to them, seems funny that the casing is still the same, 25 diode module, same etc. I cant speak to the COBs. If I tear apart one of my panels the contents are over two years old, dunno if that would help. In any event I think we all agree the consensus is on COBs these days anyway and if you are in the market for a 3 watt diode panel then you should be getting it at a bargain.

Diodes/chips and the driver are pretty much the only things that matter any way.
And the heatsink on that thing isn't anything special either.

Also it's a shame they don't give their total light output numbers.
Instead we only get PPFD (no PPF or PAR watt)

The PPFD on those panels is clearly going to be inflated because they all have lenses which gives higher peak PPFD ratings, but the surrounding areas will have lower PPFD ratings.

A CXB3590 panel is more efficient.
A v7 Vero 29 panel is more efficient
Current gen citiled panel will be more efficient. (Budmaster used a previous gen Citiled cob in their older cob panels)
Those quantum boards are also more efficient.

Also they don't tell what bin they're using, besides the fact that the SSL80 diodes in their HPS panels are driven at 600mA while they're binned at 300-350mA. (overdriven)
Running 600ma on the ssl80 with active cooling is no problem........but yeah no group/bin #s on this high $/w is concerning though.

Just curious, but what does any of that have to do with being made in the UK?

Also SSL's can be run up to 1000mA.
"Made in the UK"
The most important parts, LEDs and Drivers aren't made in the UK, besides the fact that "made in the UK" is meaningless.

And for such a high price you could expect the LEDs to be driven lower than that.

It's just that at that price, you can have a lot of underdriven COBs or those Samsung mid power boards.

80 watt is already a 350 quid fixture.
That's expensive.
And it's just 36 Leds at a moderately high current (relative to their max load).

For less money you can buy 2 QB304 kits form Northerngrowlights, have them permanently dimmed to 45 watts each.
And you have 10 watt more power with more efficient LEDs.
And while the SSL80s in the Budmaster light are driven at 60% of their max current, the Samsung mid power LEDs are only driven at around 25% of their max current.

This is just to demonstrate how much Budmaster is charging for what they deliver.

Yeah Ive heard of Amare, but them prices are more than Im willing to pay, although I dont doubt they're great, but for that funds I think Id rather have some Spectra COB9 lights.
http://www.spectradesignlab.com/spectra-cob9-system.html

Bigger coverage, looks like very well build unit, nice display on side, you can use Ardunio and run some shit with it (not sure what though haha).
Those Spectra lights look awesome. I'm really digging that dimmer knob as well. If only it was in the US! Very tempting.

So what's Nobody thinks the Amare solar pro9 is worth the month . I was looking at a timber Vero 29 v7 900 watt actual draw for $1400 . Do y'all think it would be better than the amare. ?. I thought Amare was made in the USA
