Buds for Less - CFL BOOK

The book is alright but the photoshopped picture of bud hairs was laughable... Who uses microsoft paint to make hairs amber for a book? Anyways the book was decent but I'm glad I downloaded via-torrent instead of paying money sorry to say.
hey newbgrower, if your sorry to say it, you should really consider keeping it to yourself. if you want garden knowms advice for free, i see him post quite often. start following his threads and post on some. at some point thow a question or 2 his way and he may help you out. but you just basically robbed from him and those he supports, and then told him. bad juju, anyway you look at it

Sorry, i would try and read more pages but my internet has been slow this last couple of weeks. Has anyone built a light fixture like the one in GKs book? I plan on growing 3 plants, so i could just use the same fixture right?
Also wiring wise, instead of having 3 cords could i run 18gauge wire from each of the sockets to one socket and then connect the cord? Ive done minor joystick wiring but nothing with strong current, just want to make sure.
thanks guys

I want to say hello to everyone already on this forum. I found it online and signed up for the website so I could talk with all of you. I have read the entire thing over the last week, and thats where my title comes from. GK, where did u go? I noticed that the posts from you have gotten fewer and fewer. If it's because of the naysayers, awww, fuck em. Ur the man. I bought your book and set up my grow room accordingly. I also have your dvds vol 1-3 and picked up alot of valuable tips from there. I am glad you clarified the issue with the hoods earlier on in the thread, that was a puzzle for me :-?. I am a medical grower, so the more yield per plant, the better. I have attached some pics of my sprouts, I would like to know how to fix the color change if possible. I am using MG potting soil and properly pHed water, I followed the book to the letter. They are about 2 weeks old. They are just middies, I wanted to work on my technique before my real crop sprouts. My strains will be Hash Plant, Mango, and Super Skunk. Is there anything you can tell me about these strains that would be helpful? Also, I am realistic and don't expect the same yield that you achieved, but do you have any idea what a realistic expectation would be for the Mango? That's all I have for now, but I'm pretty sure I'll have more later. If there is a better place to post these questions, please let me know.
*Note to all the other new users:
I would guess that the reason that GK doesnt post as often is because he is sick of answering the same questions. Before you make a post, do a quick keyword search and see if you can find the answer on your own. I'm sure GK is a busy man, and there is no reason that we can't spend some of our own precious time on our own questions. Just an observation...

We have built the ones from GK's book, and they seem to work well. I would suggest putting splitters of using two fixtures when the plants get bigger tho. I have 5 under 2 fixtures with a total of 9 bulbs and it is adequate, but not ideal. I should have had splitters in both fixtures for optimal lighting.

i havent been on this site for 2+ years. When i left, GK, FDD, and TCK were the three i always read up on. They're veterans, and from them i learned pretty much all i wanted to know.

Follow them and you will be the person all your friends turn to! pretty cool stuff, plus they give you all kinds of free bud for helping haha
