buds growing out of buds

Anyone ever here of this ? Is it normal ?

I have mini-buds growing upwards out of the tops of my buds.....no pics at the moment - can post some later if needed...

Look up fox-tailing.
Some sativa strains do it near the end. Also stacked calyxes or crowning. I had a NYCD that did it pretty bad. The bud was kinda ugly but the extra was nice to have around.
I have a Tijuana original haze that will foxtail if I withhold nutes or flush. (I don't flush, but I have before and found it to be pointless).

Without any info on your grow it's kinda hard to say what you got going on.

Very common, bet your growing a heavy sativa! I have a chocolope doing this right now.

Plant is a kerala krush which is mostly sativa......here's some pics....that top cola is bigger than a spray paint can....the buds that are popping out the tops actually have their own stems too...

my last crop did this, it makes the buds look a bit ugly but does not impact the quality

High Humidity and Heat can also cause fox tailing on even indicas

Yep to all above comments. It's natural with the Sativa dom plants, nothing to worry about, although you will find at harvest time that the main buds are mature and ready to come down but the foxtailing buds are still putting out new pistils. Nothing you can do about that, you gotta take 'em down.

Are you using a 1000w HPS ?, they just want to keep flowering sometimes and wont finish.

no, I'm using cfls

yes indica usually do this . very often here . sativa hardly do it . . nothing to do with humidity or co2 or temps . its just how the plant grows

I get this on all my grows cause I use H&G Shooting Powder.

hmmm...All I've given the plant is Jack's Classic 20-20-20 and Jack's Blossom Booster 10-30-20 along with floralicious plus....
Once or twice I fed her Rapid Start by GH...Some kind of root enhancer.

Medium was Pro-mix HP, perlite, EWC, and dolomite lime.

It's hard for sure. I've never lost a plant. But I also have a couple that stretch lol no biggie have fun an learn as you go.

I know people who pay extra for that. I did not like it at first but I found you can get two kinds of smoke out of it. The older buds can be of the body stone and the newer ones a mind deal. But like The Green Monkey said. They will just keep going and going. I sometimes just snip them off when they pop up and separate them. This stuff is so fun.
