buds smell moldy

7th week of flowering, buds have no visible signs of mildew or mold but they smell like an old damp towel... that mildewy smell y'know? no hint of actual bud smell at all, it's sister plant isn't as far along flowering as it is but it smells like pot and this just smells nasty... like somebody's basement filled with damp towels...

anyone ever heard/experienced this issue, what do i do to correct it?

Lower the humidity. Increase air flow.If you can't see mold, its probly the soil,or the ferts.your feeding.

ventilation is definitely not an issue, neither is humidity (it's actually too low 20-25%)

so it must be the ferts, i'll give it a proper flush.

Or the inside of the bud! I've had them rot from the inside out and you don't notice until it's too late. See if you see any dead leaves sticking out of the bud and if they pull out real easy. If they do, harvest that bugger. I'll pray for it.
