Buds turned purple/black

Any idea what would cause this to happen? They went from looking great to this in not even 2 weeks. Is this bus usable after harvest or trash?

Doesn’t look too bad to me .... they’re probably just at the end of their road

They also smelled fantastic for about 5 weeks then just stopped smelling.

Look fine mate a bit of end of road yellowing but after you've trimmed they be fine.they go black/blue/ dark because of cold temps ,air blowing on them etc some strains are bred for it too.smell should come back after dried and cured

Cut off a bud and look in the middle to see if there’s any bud rot .. I never expirenced buds loosing smell before harvest ?..... maybe you should flush and chopp them.

I’m a newb didn’t know if there was a point where it’s not good to smoke it.
Chopped one of the three down and it started to reek when trimming so I guess it’s ok. The leaves were still bright green once I opened them up a little I think maybe it was a temperature drop. I’m in them north east and they are in my basement.

Very likely. Nightime temps below 64F/18C are what I was told is the magic number by my grow guru. Warmish daytime high and cold nights create vibrant colors, just like in the NE US. Im a little south of you, and we’re seeing good colors this year outdoors.
And bright green is also good, as you don’t want much N late in flower. Enjoy your harvest, and keep at it!

There is nothing wrong with that its great actually your plants are showing its phenos colors people always love the look of putple buds they are beautifull and also lowering the temp in your grow room also can make it change colors a lot of growers like to drop their room to around 65(f)/18(c) to get the colors to show

You have heard all the good news. If anything double check your trichomes. She looks done to me. It might be time to take them all down. Lots of strains with purple can turn black before and after drying.
