Welcome to the forum. I use neem oil. There are several insecticide products available. If you read the labels you'll find neem oil as the active ingredient at around 3%. YOu can by 8 oz of neem for around $15.00, a bottle of dish soap to act as a wetting agent for less than $2.00 and mix your own for a lot less. A table spoon of neem, a table spoon of dish soap and a gallon of water. Mist the plants with it and be sure to spray the bottom of the leaves. Two applications the first week, then weekly to maintain control. Don't woory about the shiny leaves, regular misting will clear that up. VV
