does anyone know if getting rabbit poo from a pet store would be good quality because obviously a commercial store would feed their animals low grade food. I few people on this thread have said it would not matter but i think it might. Wouldn't wild rabbit poo be better since actual natural plant material is being digested and not whatever rabbits eat at petstores??? Or does it not matter cause then I will try it is it is free and fresh.

Farel2.... The pet store bunny poop will actually be pretty good. Most commercial stores use alfalfa for their std feed. Alfalfa is cheap, but is a great source of trace minerals and Triacontanol, a plant growth stimulant.

In the wild, bunnies eat a little of every kind of green thing they come across. They also, eat their own poop, to further pull nutrients from it. Wild bunny poop is actually less nute rich, than pet bunny poop.

The pet store rabbits poop, falls through a screen mesh floor in to a catch tray. Since it did not make a second pass through the bunny's digestive system, it actually contains more undigested fiber, nutrients and (if fed alfalfa) trace amounts of Triacontanol. These are all good things.

So, your free, pet store bunny poop, may actually be superior in it's nute value.

i have two house bunnys.they poop alot! but i use earthgrow and bat guano.ill start saving the poop for you guys.they eat a mostly timothy hay diet with cilantro,parsley,carrots and some alfalfa pellets.be carefull of collecting poop if it has been sitting in urine.
Organic all the way! Been reading these forums for a while now but only just signed up to the site so I could view pics and stuff. Going to be starting my grow in a few months once the tent is ready! Taking a while cause I'm using good equipment from the start to make sure I get good quality. Using 400W HPS/MH Cool tube with good ventilation and circulation system, all organic grow. Goint to be going with 2 sativas on my first grow not sure which strains yet, going to try for two BIG plants on my first grow rarther than scrog.
Was just wondering, you said that you can use a soil ph kit to test the nutrients in your growing medium. Would it also be the case that you could use a ph neutral substance, soak it in your homemade liquid fertilizers, test the ph neutral substance in the soil kit and get exact ratios for your liquid fertilizers? This would mean we could all basically control the mixes as well as the top companies do. Would this work with perlite or will it have some mineral traces? You could always measure the PH of your soil, then water through with the nutrients and get two readings and work it out from there. If anyone has tried this then let me know!
Also would you be able to concentrate the nutrients in the same way you can with fruit juices? Freeze the solution in a narrow neck bottle then hang the frozen bottle above a larger bottle, the good stuff in the mix will melt quicker than the water and you will take the best part of the nutrients out of the water, then when you need to use you dillute in very small amounts like regular commercial product?
Shame more people aren't on the organic forums! Got a feeling you will see me alot when my grow starts!

the n-p-k breakdown is 2.4-1.6-.8,and should sit for 3 weeks or composted first.it isnt a 'hot' fertilizer, so the chances of it buring roots are lower. i should have some bags of it ready by the end of the month.im seperating the poops that have had urine on them because these will have higher nitrogen,and the reg poops will be lower nitrogen,so you can choose grow or bloom.i think i will have more high nitrogen.my bunnys poop in different litterboxes throughout the house,some they pee in also so i am able to keep it all seperated.shoot me a p.m. if interested,maybe trade me for some guano and bonemeal?

Back when I was a kid (hate to say it but it was more than 30yrs ago)I raised rabbits to show.The OP is definitely tellin the truth about the value of Rabbit BB's 
And the difference between rabbit manure and chicken is night and day.Being as I know about that too.I was a gamefowl enthusiast for over twenty years.
So I've had experience with both.So kudo's Ohsogreen
To the poster that made the comment about maybe getting a couple of bunnies. Well if your building one cage plan on building a couple more.In 71'I started with a breeding pair in 76'I had over eighty and a freezer full to eat.And oh by the way pork is not the other white meat ,domestic rabbit is and is one of the best Barbeque's you'll ever eat.

that's far out there man.reminds me of chong''yeah man it mostly moweewowee but it's got some labador in it.but really the pet store probly hire you and then you got eguana,snake,rat,mouse,chinchilla and all kinds of shit.i'm sorry i'll just stick with worm,sea bird and bat sheit myself.thx for the info. though if i get in a jamb i know where to get some nitrogen now. peace grow onIf I start a bunny farm, will you take all the poop that I don't use? They shit more than will ever be useful! But a much nicer clean-up than chicken shit, I have to say. I'll have to consider stopping by the local petshop... You think they'll trip when I ask for all the rabbit shit?
