OK my plants are 28 days into flower, they were grown in 3g buckets with sunshine4 and some cheaper nutes. The room has a little light leak but it never caused any problems before, I keep my temps between 80f and 70f every morning it gets a low drop to 65 for a couple of hours before I turn the heater on every morning. All of a sudden like half of my plants turned hermie and I am left here confused and bummed out because they knocked up my females. I purchased these from a toronto breeder. now my question is if I purchase plants from a breeder and I get males and females when I sex them is it still possible that some seeds are already pre-determined to be hermie or do you guys believe that I could be to blame. Here is a few picks to show how healthy that they were looking.
Most of them also had some brown tips on the leaves but I think that it was a bit of nute burn, but I don't think that could cause hermies?:-(

it takes a lot of lighting problems and really bad light leaks to make a plant go hermi. by rights i should of had hrmies a time or two due to major light leaks but thay all were good.

If the strain isn't stable,i.e. been inbred for years, any seed can be hermie, mutant all sorts of weirdness.
When i breed i just select the biggest and best looking males and females and always use the male pollen to fert the fems early so that there is no chance of any hermies.
I have found that using very selective breeding and culling of smaller weaker plants has worked for me.
The only hermie i have ever had was one i induced myself from light poisioningbongsmilie

Thanks for the comments everyone,
None of them have ever had a tramatic issue of any kind, the very worst that has happened is a few may have wilted a bit in veg but that is it other than the brown on the tips of the leaves that I was talkling about, And no I have not grown any of these strains before, I bought them from The Toronto 420 seedbank and out of 6 kinds the WW I got no females and my HK I got 1 and I got a bunch of female of NLxSk and NLxBudah and both of those went hermie, I also got Shishkaberry x Budah and 1 went hermie and the other I beleive is female. I also have Fat Skunk and Blueberryskunk and both seem to be OK

If the strain is unstable is it still capable of producing a healthy female or should I kill of the other ones that are NLxB and NLxSK or just keep a good eye. Can anyone post a pic of hermies when they first start showing there male tendensies for me? the ones that I chopped had 2 light green almost yellow tenticles or something, and one bag seed one had open male flowersalready slutin up my garden. Once again any pics would be appreciated.

If it was mine i would just carry on and grow them out.
On the next gen just keep selecting the best examples each time and rebreed them, preferably with true males of the same type to stabilise them if you can.
Personally i wouldnt worry about it to much, just keep selecting the best and dont forget that the weed has been around for millions of years fucking itself in the wild and that we still seem to have great weed.
Weed is naturally bisexual, simple as thatbongsmilie
