Hello all, If one had a space to build a cabinet about about 63in tall, 31in wide( I believe i could make it up to 40in wide), and how ever long deep 2ft+ deep, and was using LED lighing. Should they use build the cabinet to size, or use a scrog somewhere between the 63in height, meaning that additional unnecessary? LED, is the choice as of now, if anyone thats I should usething else please say so. This would be my first diy, anyone rec. any good build guides for the area I described? Should I also go with a Hydroponic set up? Thanks. In liberty, (I think this thread is better suited here, so Its kind of cross posted on another section)

I love my cab. 65" x 24" x 22". IMO, don't scrog unless you are only going to have one container or one plant. I didn't have great results scrogging, but I don't have powerful enough lights either. Hydro or soil, up to you. You could get 6 containers in there if doing soil. Probably more plants if doing hydro. Then either LST or build a manifold (mainline). Lights: led is cool. I have CFL for veg and a small HPS. What about smell? Are you going to have a carbon filter in the cab too? Sounds like a fun project. Throw some pics up once you get started!

I'm probably going to go Hydro. Might try lst. I have around $200 to spend on a light, maybe more total budge Is probably about 600 or so. I'm probably going to rig up some carbon filter. smell will kind of be an issue for me, so i'll have to take care of it. Do you have pics of your set up? Pretty similar size so I can get a idea on how to set mine up.

wow, thats a freaking awesome you have Fishdeth, I might just try to copy you. lol. I can get my hands on a fridge no problem at all. Or I might just build a cab, close to that and start from there. So much reading to do, so little time, with work and all. lol

Thanks man.... I do love to tinker sometimes.
A fridge is very well insulated.
The shed where I keep it gets very hot so I think that helps keep my temps regulated.
Biggest thing I like is the sound insulation, all you can hear on the outside is the exhaust fan. (sounds like a fridge.... except it never turns off)
All the air pump, circ fan, and bubble/trickle noises are kept inside.....
