brilliant suggestion, elegant in its simplicity. how long would it take for the shells to break down far enough to release the Ca? could i make a foliar spray for the time being?

ok heres the how to dry egg shells in a pan in the oven at the lowest setting crumble or pulverise them in a food processer or blender or mash yourself into powder...mix over top of soil for a quick shot of cal while help even out soil ph....ground clam an oyster shells can be used for the same purpose...doubt it as a foiler spray....peace az

dolomit lime adds calcium and magnesium. its cheap and it regulates your ph at 7. mix 1/4 cup per five gallons of soil
