California~ A New Start~

Made up my mind to make a new start, Going to California with an Aching in my heart.
Someone told me MzJill would be out there with love in her eyes and Flowers in her hair.
Took my chances on a big jet plane and let me tell you things will never be the same!

Every since I was a young man I have wanted to live up in the hills of Cali where the warm sun shines and life depends more on the land and living with nature.

I made it to the Westcoast about 9 year ago but the first place I landed was the land of fog and Rain and it never fit me mentally.

Took me 51 Years but I found my Eden and MzJill and I Love the Sunshine and the amazing clean air.
Were terrified of the roads and I have never seen so many people in my life when we come down outa the hills that will take some time to get used to.
Some asshat rear ended Jill 3 days after we got here and damned near offed my whole family if it wouldn't have been for Acura engineering I'd be a sad motherfucker right now.
There good though Jilly has a bit of a stiff neck but shes recovering well. The car was completely totaled though!

Then I fell in the raised garden really hard onto a 4x4 post if you havn't seen it its a pretty gruesome moment in a growers life.
Most people would be embarrassed but fuck I fall all the time and I have never had the cam on so I figured what the hell.

So The tubes broke and we have to wait on the geeks to repair it before I can upload #84 so I thought I would start an epic thread of my new life.
I will note I have never worked harder or been happier.

Were even approved through the local health department now as a grower in compliance :)

Life on the farm get up early and go to bed early worn ass out.

We arrived on July 25th with 8 clones.

You might be a Weed Nerd if this happens in 3 weeks Mohahahaha

I love the sunshine and I am learning everyday.
We are employing several methods this year to learn what works best for us In ground, In Air Pots, Tied Down in Cages, Untopped like trees and even a few Two in one hole sites.

I would like to thank "The Dude" for the Cookies :)

Thanks to TCurtiss for his amazing gift of starter plants for the outdoor.

Welcome to California! Damn, nasty fall. Hope you're all healed up or the process is going well... can only imagine how busy you are! If you ever need a TGA hang out in the South Bay area, I've got one! Keep up the shows, you are my inspiration. My garden went from basic to weed nerd because of you. I now only run TGA because it is preferred by patients. Thanks Sub!

Man, I wish you could give tours like a winery! I hate to say it, I really do, but I am rather jealous Mr. Subcool. You're living my dream. (I'm not bitter, though... jealous in a good way. More in an inspirational way)

Being a California native, and being familiar with my state, I can figure out your general area and man, you are in a really fantastic part of the state. (I should say though, that I would never try to find you, or post online where I think the property is. I seriously understand the need for secrecy and seclusion.) The only thing bad about that area (as you are finding out) is the summer heat. But wait till deep fall, winter, and spring. Oh man, your whole area is going to be gorgeous.

I enjoy your videos, but I can't watch them all! I have to take care of business and my daughter so I miss some stuff in them occasionally. And so I am not bugging y'all I'll only ask once more... How many acres is your place? From what you show it looks like you're on at least a couple. If so, that's a lot of work! (Good on you!) I'm on a half acre in teh suburbs in so cal and that's a lot of work to keep up. I already need my own Prospect!

And lastly, congratulations. I know what that area costs, even the cheap places, and it ain't cheap. I am always glad when someone in the canna industry who is an honest player and from all accounts a good fellow, is able to achieve what you have. It shows that with hard work, dedication, and perseverance we can achieve our dreams. And we can do it without ripping people off or resorting to underhanded business tactics. It also helps to show that being financially successful (which is not to say rich) is not a bad thing, which for some reason, the hippies 'round here seem to think.

Thanks again for sharing not just the information, but your personal life as well.

Were own a bit over 3 acres and as you guessed we can barely make the payments along with the moving cost.
Things will even out and I will stop going to Homedepot one day :)
