That's an inaccurate and widely discredited statistic. Not to mention that most of us don't live in Chicago, but we all still have to deal with cops.

And cops should not be shooting unarmed citizens. EVER.

Exactly what problem do you have with that? If you do, let's hear it. If not, stop denigrating the movement to hold police accountable for the consequences of their actions.

Nationwide, they kill someone daily or more often on average. It's a higher rate than any other developed nation, by an order of magnitude or more.

If we'd like citizens to RESPECT police, they need to be held accountable when they fuck up, too.

If you give anyone license to kill with impunity, you can expect them to abuse it.

The best way to not be killed by gang violence is not to be in one.

Police are expected to uphold the law AND live by it. When we allow them to act above the law, our entire society breaks down.
