the same laws regarding weed apply to the whole country of The Netherlands, but Amsterdam is a tourist trap.
Whenever ive had weed from the Dam its always been lower quality than say Rotterdam or The Hague & the weed always had been shaken up to get the crystals off the bud!
Just make California like the Netherlands.
LA can be it's Amsterdam, it's half way there already.

I don't understand why it would be so bad for the growers because if the law was passed it would create a bigger demand thus needing a bigger supply. So what if they have to lower their prices because they would make that up plus more in sales.
Everybody isn't gonna go right out and start growing their own weed. Some will but the majority wont, they're gonna go get it from a dispensary or off the street just like everyone else. Just like cigarettes you don't see everybody having their own grow rooms filled with tobacco plants or see it growing in everybody's back yard. There's a ton of money to be made if it becomes legal. Legalizing marijuana in California would be groundbreaking for the rest of us that don't live in a medical marijuana state.

Because a fellow with a 250 acre nursery will blow you all out of the water price wise.... that's why there is a panic gong on in cali. A place where if you throw a rock in the rural areas, you'll hit a nursery.
Their infrastructure is already in place. They are waiting.

its really only humboldt county thats panicing. The growers vote will mean nothing due to the number of major pot farmers. Its gonna be consumer vs non consumer. The major thing are the farmers of veg may decide to switch to growing hemp. The bill may allow large farmers the paper work to grow hemp. if so you will see alot of farmers vote yes to legalization. Hemp is a very very profitable and easy to grow crop. before it became illegal it was a billion dollar industry well over 60 years ago.

Weed is similar to tobacco in that it is ingested into the lungs.
One is legal, one is not. One is "controlled", one is not.
Weed will most likely follow tobacco in that it affects the health directly.
What's in the weed you buy? Even what you grow? Ever have it seriously analyzed? In all actuality, most ppl smoke far more contaminants in their weed, than they do from cigarettes (unless added on purpose).
The govt. will want overseer control. That will mean probably knocking out the amateurs. It will mean lab work...research....clean environments. I'm not talking about clorox...but "clean" rooms.
They don't let just anybody grow and sell tobacco. Weed will be the same. The volume will bring in the professional big boys.... it may not start out that way... but it will end up there.

Weed if you ever have grown it yourself is pretty much free of outside contaminants. Its all plant. Also I vap my bud which only burns the THC. heres a list of all of the things added to tobacco.

Also no dealer spends the time to add stuff to the end product. Those people who think there buds are laced are just paranoid. Also when coming from a cartel who knows whats in it, but when coming from the hippy or pot enthusiast who most likely stays true to the grow will not tamper with product. It does the job it needs to on its own. Its not like cocain or meth or e, its something that naturally does the job without being enhanced.
