Where to start..Where to start.
Okay, by all means call me a noob. I decided to start learning about hydroponics a little over a year ago because i knew it would be one hell of a challenge to get everything down immediately..unfortunately i bit off way more than i could chew. after spending upwards of $500 on nutrients and all my plants turning into males i almost gave up. until abut 2 weeks ago. you see my buddy from Cali is prescribed a certain amount of buds per month, when he arrived he brought over some of California's finest. OG PURP! i was stoked! as we started picking through it something magical happened, out popped this little seed (actually it was rather large). from that moment i started re-constructing my whole set up. i checked into medical marijuana depots and found out that its almost impossible to find a seed through their distribution. i germinated that shit faster than a hobo on a ham sandwich. 72 hours later i had THEE most pure/thick looking tail i had ever seen. from there i stuck it right in my vermiculite. here we are 1 week later and i have 4 sets of leaves (which is common i know) but what i didnt expect at all (at least this early) is a 100% deep purple stem and some hidden purple through out my leaves. my fan leaves are by far the darkest tint of purple. Im running full blue spectrum (250W MH) built in ballast and reflectors, 18 on 6 off. 5 gallon bucket and an oxygen stone. im really just looking for some advice. hoping someone of you will continue to exchange different styles of grow set-ups with me. ive come to realize that everyone has there own way of cultivating and the outcome always comes out different which is so gnarly.
