So this is my first go, I know it's not a "IDEAL" set up, by any means. But I'll throw you all the info I got...I'm using fox farm ocean soil, as well as using all fox farm nutes. I was forced to flower about 2.5 months into veg, because of time restrictions. I veged 6 under 6 100 watt CFL's and am flowering 6 under CFL's. My questions are, do my girls look healthy, are the producing the flowers the should for about week 3 of flowering, and is it bad I'm already getting a Orange hair or 2..really thanks guys. Sorry for the shitty pics but my cam is shot....

1) Plants look pretty healthy, probably could have used some training in veg to get them to branch out though, and maybe a touch heavy on nutes...keep an eye on that.

2) Flowers look about the right size for their age.

3) Orange hair is not bad, it just means your plant is starting to mature, may be a fast finisher.

tiny bit of heat stress could just be due to having to be so close to the cfl`s

if you could move the air around a bit more and vent a bit more heat they might like you better for it but they look ok, cfl`s always yield a bit on the low size and can mature at the top a lot faster than the bottom

I have 2 mini fans so I get air circulation one at the top of the plant n one at the bottom...is there anything I can do at this point for bigger buds...or am I just going to have to del with what I have till I clone her...

what about air in and air out

are you taking air away from the top of the area and dumping fresh air in at just about canopy level maybe some in at rootzone level too ?

I know that I'm bound to do shit wrong, this is my very first attempt. In a closet none the less.i just don't know it it's gonna be good, or end up like 30s, and wondering if it's gonna be worth what I put in, electric and all...any ideas on what it could spit out relative to its size?

Did you take cuttings before you flowered?

Yeah they look healthy, you would start having your leaves turning yellow if you were doing something wrong as far as the soil goes. I found with cannabis less is more, they're pretty resilient and don't need a lot of water. Just don't let the soil get too dry, you would notice the leaves starting to really droop downwards.

Now your setup is not going to produce as much product as let's say something very powerful like a 1000 or 600 watt metal halide setup, and cutting vegetation short will cut down on yields as well but that won't effect the health of the plant. If you think your soil needs replenishing you can always add in a small amount of beneficial bacteria blasts such as "Recharge" by Realgrowers or this really great product I liked called "Oregonism XL" by Auroa; free of synthetic fertilizer. However in the last two weeks of growth, give them nothing but water to flush out the soil. Another point, to prevent mold in the final stages of flowering keep humidity levels under 60%.

Honestly though you have nothing to worry about if you're keeping an eye on them every day, good air movement from fans blowing on them. Now that they are in the flowering stage, if you notice any male duds just pull em out before they cross polinate with the females; if not you'll get seeds in your product like the old Mexican brick weed. You'll notice males by their pollen sacks instead of white hairs, and once you start seeing seeds in your product it is too late.

Don't harvest your product until a good majority of the hairs have turned brown. Don't blow a fan directly onto your harvested material, and keep it in darkness as much as possible as it is drying. After about a week of drying you're good to place in an airtight jar, wait any longer out of an airtight container and the outside of the bud will become too brittle which doesn't make a good product to smoke; a properly cured product is a must.

Temp control may help you get better buds from what im reading. Try to make lights off 5c to 10c cooler than lights on.

Nice work so far Good luck in the run home.

Orange hairs mean nothing at this point except maybe a little heat stress and you don't use orange hairs to predict maturity. The hairs will recede into the calyx when they are ready. Even if it's a fast finisher you still have 5-6 weeks and don't bother to flush. It's pointless and may hurt your yield. Don't listen to inexperienced growers. Read posts by Dr. Who, Uncle Ben, FDD, and many others who have been doing this for many years with great success. They have helped me immensely! With cfl's you aren't using a lot of electricity anyway. It will be well worth it if you can be patient and control your temps.

That's just me, I've always used the color of the hairs to determine their growth cycle; sometimes waiting for a majority of red hairs to get a nice medical product as high in CBD and low in THC as possible. I don't have to worry about flushing soil since I don't use synthetics, but for those who are using synthetic fertilizer you give your plants nothing but water for the last two weeks before harvest so you don't end up smoking any of the fertilizer; you can tell right away the product is no good when it gives you a headache and has no taste. I've been growing outdoors for four years now no problems, just my two cents.

By these pics your plants look pretty descent +. Looks like you have 6 plants in 2 gal. buckets ( hard to tell ) under 6 100 watt blue spectrum bulbs? Next grow I would flower under red spectrum, if not already. Flower with more than 100 watts cfl per plant. Crop to get better use of the lights.
