camo Ideas? (almost busted)

I have a few plants growing in my backyard...last week I was working on my car in the back, heard a noise, looked up, and a COP was walking towards me!!! I met him halfway...he stated that he got an alarm call from my alarm co (I didn't even set the alarm) then said that they get a lot of false alarms when the temp gets high. The one time in a million I didn't have my cell with me (the alarm co always calls me first)...If I wasn't home he prolly would have found my plants (or at least smell them)!!!! turns out it was legit (I had 2 missed calls from the co. on my cell)
My question is..has anyone ever hung those plastic red peppers or plastic tomatoes from their branches for camo? and does it look realistic?...also does anyone have any other methods? THANKS!!

i've heard of the fake flower thing, peppers, etc.. sounds good on paper but things like that draw the eye.

i personally try to make the plants blend in naturally and use the environment to my advantage by avoiding placing them in direct line of sight. put them in "complicated" settings that people won't intentionally look at for long.. people in the know have walked right by fully budding plants and not even noticed. i like to hide them in the open.

:joint:i agree with 7xstall, i put mine all around my yard got 8 beauties going and i have parties all the time. they are in big cans for easy movability and they are blending nicely with the other folige. use nature.

Thanks for the advice...I have a small city lot and can only really plant next to the house for adequate sunlight (my neighbor smokes with me and is cool about it)..fugit I think I'll just pull the phone line for the alarm during grow season....judging by the smell in my neighborhood a LOT of people are growing! YAY!!!!

I grow mine in my grapes. You can hardly notice them until the very end of the season. The grapes do shade the the plants a little though.

if you live in an area where their are hemlock trees they are excellent camoflauge. cut a 5 fter down and plop it in the ground on the north side of your plant, it won't block the sun there, just shove it in the ground and it will live green for weeks before it turns brown.

LOL. Yeah then he wouldnt be worried about his plants. He would just be worried about killing a cop. I would rather go to jail for growing.
