Can a pungent smell be an early sign for sexing?

I noticed on some of SWIM's plants in early development that some had a stronger odor. while some did not smell at all. Can a pungent odor be a reliable way for sexing a plant?

heavy smell just means they are stressed out to me...mine have a very mild pleasant/sweet smell until they 'think' they are in trouble
then they reek something awful...every damn time

I love the full name as a username and then the additional use of SWIM. I haven't see anyone use that term here, you don't have to be noid. Besides if you really live in AZ, you can grow up to 12 plants if you have a card. No one is going to make sure you do over these boards...

The damn strong smell sucks, I'm probably gonna have to give my plants away because of it.
