Hi
If a sativa plant is harvested when half or more of the trichomes are amber it loses those qualities that sativa plant is known of?
I mean the bust of energy and that heady euphoric high? Isnt this qualities in the genetic of the plant or you can achieve those effects with an indica too if harvested earlier ?

I read a lot about how time of harvest affect the properties of the plant and im a little bit confused. A 100% indica plant if harvested when the trichomes are cloudy it will lose the couch lock effect or it will be still there but not as potent?
And same with the sativas, if harvested later you still get that heady high, euphoric, energy but not as potent as when a timely harvest is made?
This qualities still must be in the genetics, no? Please clarify this on me.

trichomes indicate thc levels and their development/stage in the process. cloudy=max thc but you get less(the last 2 weeks of a plants life is when it gains most of its final bud mass) bud and the cannaboids that cause the couchlock high level. 50/50=some of the thc has degraded into the cannaboids that cause the couchlock while keeping some thc. You still miss out on bud mass though.
amber= thc levels are not as high as the others because theyve been converted into other cannaboids. letting it finish ensures dense fat buds.
trichome development dictates what kind of high youll get for the most part, wether its sativa or indica does/can alter the high a bit because of different levels of cannaboids and such but that would happen even between other indica strains as well .
