I have a fully self contained hydro closet that 36 inches tall.....one of those all in one just plug it in with 70 cfm fan.....carbon filter....hydroponic. Any suggestions on a short auto flowering plant that does well in such a short box/system AND any recommendations on reputable seed banks would be appreciated...Thanks

Blue Mistic or Short Rider. Both are great smoke, easy to manage, and are both short and bushy (2-3 ft). Good luck! Peace

I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but why not just use a feminized non-autoflowering strain with a very short veg period?

Any short indica would work.

I am trying to keep this grow as simple as possible....the grow box I mentioned is on order for a retired buddy of mine and I doubt he's willing to spend the time to really research and learn the intricacies of growing......I am following the "keep it simple stupid" plan for him and his first grow attempt.......as close to.set it and forget it as I can get him started with.......then if he's willing to really learn (and more importantly ENJOY) growing, I will spend more effort/time on his new hobby......but for now it's....here, plug in this box.....plant these sprouts....set your timer for 18 hours a day.....pour this nute water in every few days......Bam!!!! Harvest your bud, ENJOY!!!!!!

I liked Dinafem fruit. mine ended up around 3 feet. yielding around 2 ounces. It lived most of its life under low light conditions, 64 watts fluorescent.

I've been told that there awesome people to deal with at : http://www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com/

Pineapple Chunk is the bomb....Pretty indestructible plant that I have been told by many friends, is a very easy and simple plant to grow with remarkable outcomes. Doesn't stress out as easy as most and can easily take Fimming/Topping/Bending, or what ever you do to it with no problems. Either in soil or DWC buckets with never a worry as much compared to others concerning root rot.

This isn't even how casual growing works. And if you advise him to use this method, there are high chances that it will go so badly wrong that he'll never want to bother growing again.

One option is to get what he wants and plant it in a small pot. When autos run out of root space it kinda determines the final size if the plant.

More roots, more fruit.

I would think the same
holds true in the opposite direction.

Very true Polo, and I've found that autos are very sensitive to any kind of shock and stop growing. I had a fully mature auto on my first auto grow that was less than 3" tall. I put the whole bud in a pipe and smoked it.
