I Have some " Deep purple "purple urkle X Querkle site says 90indica/10sativa. It tastes amazing some of the best smelling/tasting herb i ever had ..grapey perfumey musty funk ! No bananas but ......
I have had problems with mold on some of the colas even in winter with humidity around 20-30% around day 45 -50 of 12/12. I have had to take them at 7 weeks few times .
I have a table Rdwc setup gh flora nutes . 1k hps cooled hood. So can flushing cause the plant to mold ?
I usually flush the res few times dropping to to 150-350 ppms so not a complete flush. Thinking of not doing that and watching buds closely this time around any thoughts?

I love this strain and will continue trying to fight this damn mold !!

What is your air purity like? Do you have a fresh air intake from outside and one leaving the tent/room? Also are you using an NFT technique?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it could possibly be something to do with your temps and humidity AFTER lights out.
If your intake fan is still running more than it needs to be to keep negative pressure and a small flow, and its cold outside with moisture in the air, you would be sucking that into the tent and it would be sitting cold damp air in there over sleepy time. Lights come on and the moisture in the tent would disappear with a 1k, but as for the insides of the buds, maybe they held some moisture?

Just food for thought, there may be something else going on but it's hard to tell from no pics or more info!
I'm still learning myself :) 20-30% that's a pretty good humidity to have during flower with Kushy strains, i would definitely see what's going on after lights out!

No.

1- reducing feed is not flushing, but don't do that until the end. She should get contantly rising PPM at about 100 per 6 inches of growth. If you withhold feed when you should be adding, you are not doing any good.

2 - "fushing" is a bad hippy concept that has no meaning. The idea that these plants consume salt is WRONG. They just need less food. But, you just back off, or not. When they are healthy they won't take anymore than they need.

3 - these 1 and 2 are not connect to mold in any way

4 - constant circulating air at low humidity means you should not have mold.

5 - are you sure it isn't spider mites?

Room no tent ..air is drawn from house into room and out 24/7 with 6" fan slowed down a bit with controller . I also have a 6"inlet to let free flowing fresh air in . During lights off humidity stays Good ...just checked its at 27%low with 32% high .
I have a hybrid Rdwc table setup water fills buckets. 4x day medium is dry . No mites

I was thinking flushing everything out could be shocking my girls allowing them to mold .

This time i have more airflow circulation and will be watching closely. So far so good.

Well, I would say you are shocking them. The mold is a different question. :)

Yes no doubt it shocks them but the question is does shocking them make them make them more susceptible to molding ? Mold spores are everywhere inside or outside.
I am testing this and so far things are looking very good with no flush . Flushing seems to be a very hot topic here.I have always been in the middle!
No flushing anymore for this guy. Just going to lower feed gradually on last week

hoping for someone with knowledge that has battled this problem to jump in and share any thoughts ! Thanks for your reply

I don't think the two are related. But, who really knows? Maybe a more healthy plant.....??
