can i clone with a 400w?

someone told me it would be to intene. i have a 400w cool tube. will it work to clone?

Yeah, just keep it away from the plants. Intensity is all relative to distance.

I am doing this now. Using a 400w hps.. my clone light died. Have it 20" from the cuttings. My first batch rooted super fast and have had very aggressive growth. I love it!

Hey squirrelklan, are you using a clone dome with a heater , or are you going right into soil ?

I kept mine in a cheap plastic humidity dome right in my tent with my 1000w and 2 t5 fixtures. 12 out of 18 survived. Distance is what matters. If ur worried about burning them just get a 20 dollar t12 fixture CEO
Menards or home depot it's what I'm using now since I got 6 in bloom with my 1000w and 6 in veg with my t5s

You really do not require light for cloning, the simplest method is to put your clones in a cup of water. It is very important that you change the water daily and/or add a pump and bubble stone to oxygenate the water.

Below is a clone I took about 2 weeks ago, it is a little burnt because it was added into a cycle where rooted clones were getting nutrients.



and I really did not want it to continue, neither did my little one, she is really responsible for it making it to the trash.
