personally, i wouldnt top or fim during flower. your girls are still growing for like the first 3 weeks or so of flower, topping/fimming will definately slow growth while it recovers, resulting in a smaller plant.

my advice is not to

how long have you had them in veg. if your wanting to flower early atlest wait till your plant is a foot tall before you go to 12-12 it takes about 2 weeks after 12-12 to start showing sex but be patient grow them a little more cuz you dont want to harvest only an half oz do you?

Don't do it.

Unless you want to go back into veg. I think you could probably revert back into veg if you have only been flowering for 5 days. It might confuse the plant and stunt it a little but it should work.

Don't do it. It will stress the plant - let them focus on flowering. If your aim is to limit vertical growth then do a bit of low stress training - I do that pretty frequently on my scrog during flower.

how do you do this "low stress training"
Low Stress Training (LST) is basically bending the plant stems & even branches a bit at a time to induce the lower buds to gain more light & greatly increase the yield of the plant.

Check out this link - https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=606

The pics are my scrog (screen of green) grow of white widow. -. You will note that you don't see anything holding the plant down - I make a hook on a piece of solid copper wire with a good size stainless nut on the other end. After a week or so it is usually ok to remove the weight & the plant will generally stay there & that's how its done.
Good luck.
Peace
