i use it
it works pretty good, it provides nutes to the plant for about a month so u dont have to add nutes to the watering.
after that u can feed it nutes with your watering

For soil its the best choice but a bit pricey. Great for someone who doesnt know what to mix like me. Dont need to feed your plants for first few weeks since soil comes rich with nutes.

If you want soil that is pre-bagged and is well balance, you won't go wrong by buying FoxFarm. However, you will pay a pretty penny for their marketing. You can easily find other brands just as well balanced for half the price. For the first time grower, its just easier to start with a pre-mixed soil that comes with all the right ingredients. But eventually you have to get away from the pre-packaged stuff and learn to compost your own soil and add your own nutes.

Each strain has it's own requirements. The sooner you learn to read the plants and understand it's needs the better. But I know when your new and you just want to grow some nice weed without much hassle. If that's where you are, buy FoxFarm. You might spend a few dollars more then you need to, but you won't fuck up your grow by using shitting soil.

I'm not sure. I go to Home Depot and buy Kelloggs Patio Plus for like $6-$7. Has all the same stuff as FoxFarm, for half the price. FoxFarm is good, but why pay a premium and order it online, then wait forever and day to receive it. Now, if you are near a good nursery that changes things. But for the average folk, you can get buy with spending less. Then again, for some, brand name makes them feel better.

If buying expensive brand name stuff is what gets you to grow, so be it.

they have it at the grocery store right up the street. it's only $6. i used it, but i think i prefer hempy method over soil. Check out my current grow comparing Fox Farm soil to hempy method. I'm in week 7 of flowering. Link in sig

So how much is it per bag? If that's 20bucks a bag that's crazy.
If you live in the Pacific Northwest it probably only costs about 1/2 that much per bag. Back East it runs about 20 bucks a sack, or more! That's why most all Soils, Fertilizers and Ammendments are made in the "local region" - freight costs are a bitch!

All FoxFarm products come from Arcata, California (Northern California), that's why they cost more the farther East you are.

If you would like to use "FoxFarm Ocean Forest", but the price is prohibitive - TRY THIS:
Buy a 4 lb. bag of "FoxFarm Marine Cuisine" (dry fertilizer) and mix it with a good, premium, local, potting mix. The bag will go a long way (1 Tblspn. for each gallon of potting mix!).

Third time using FF soil and full line of Nutes and micro's I Love the stuff and I also pay dearly to ship it, I'm no where near a dealer. But I have absolutly no regrets it is good pre-mixed soil that works wonder's and pay's off in the end! Just my 2 cent's,,,Like everyone say's do not add nothing but water for the first month,,and start nutes at a half level at first to see how things are going. Worth the investment IMO.

i keep seeing people say no nutes for a month...y? i do? no nutrient burn..no problems period..right when they go in FF soil i add straight water then next time i just start at like 20%strength..then i start with a medium feeding schedule after the first couple feedings of 20% strength

I say no nutes, because FF ocean forest is already full of nutes. My first experience I had a white widow and after a month I added acording to the chart the recommended dose,,,she got burnt a bit.
You need to add nothing the first few weeks and your plants will be very happy trust me. Maybe your strain is a super eater but,,,so young it's really not needed till flowering.
