Can i grow my plants with Fire?

Ok, so i was wondering.... as i do.
Would it be possible to grow plants using Fire as the light source?

And i dont want responses about Heat etc... because i can contain that. I just want to know if Fire is a good Light source. Which Spectrum of light does it emmit?


-- Also for fairly large size room is it worth painting the whole room white or using "Emergency Blankets" as the reflector...

I dont think you should grow.

That shit would never work. There is no way you can generate that much light with fire without killing them or burning down the room. even if you could contain the fire, the walls would turn black from smoke and the paint would peel from heat. That's not even taking the plants into consideration.

really? this is the first thing you post? at least its in teh right category. hah crazy idea but thats how a lot of things start i guess. no answer sorry, but good luck with that....just for an idea, one lumen would be about = to one candle...so for one cfl bulb equivalent to 150 watts (42 actual watts) , this produces 2700 lumens. for one good indoor plant you need around 2 minimum 42 watt cfls. meaning youd need the equivalent of 5400 lumens or 5400 candle power. thats a lot of candles. as for teh spectrum of light it emits, i do not know. best of luck to you

I've never heard tell of growing weed using fire as the light source..

i would just light like 100,000 candles and u should be good to go.

you cant use fire to grow. but you can use fire to smoke it

Not gonna happen. Even if it emits the right spectrum of light, its not ENOUGH light. Think how bright a few cfls are compared to a camp fire? Never mind comparing the fire to an hps?

Think about this realistically: would you want to be the guy to have to stoke the fire every day for the duration of the grow, even IF it would be enough light in the right spectrum?

my jewish friend grew a few plants under the light from his Hanukkah manora candle and yeilded 9 grams per candle but the stingy fuck wouldnt share none of it so i dont even know if it was any good

I don't know about fire, but I hear you can use a bunch of laser pointers all concentrated at the plants leaves.

hahaha i thought of using candels for bringing temps up..but that is sketchy enough..nvm using them for lighthing..good luck bro., get a fire blanket
