Can I harvest Half of my Plant?

I have been reading many forums and many people seem to harvest half their plants due to immature lower buds. Now the question is, if that was considered would you have to be in, your last flushing phase or can u chop half the plant with no flush? Is chopping half your plant actually smart? I just want to mature my lower buds more. I'm doing a little trim tonight on her so hopefully that helps out! Suggestions .....

sure you can when it comes to chopping you can chop half your plant and let her grow for another week or 2 check trichs might be already ready herd some people do it callin it selective cutting
