Can I move indoor plants outdoors?

New here and first post. I started 6 plants in a closet about 6 weeks ago and all are doing very very well but getting very big. My question is can I move two of them outdoor to give the four remaing inside more room to finish? If I do move two outside is there anything special I should do to prepare them to go outside? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I live in the Niagara Region in Southern Ontario.

Cheers...

hardening off? You might have to introduce them gradually.
Will they flower now what is your dark period where you ;live? July is early.
you may have to give them darkness by bringing them back inside after a preset time.
What about bugs and pollen from other growers? Things to think about

Really depends on what your want from the 2 plants you put outside, eg do you want them to flower or stay in veg growth?

Hadn't considered the fact I had options. I assumed they would stay outside and ultimately flower. Was more concerned how they would transition from 24 hour light to sudden outside day/night.

Appreciate the response!!!

Like the doctor said you need to hard them of outside maybe under shade mesh for a week or so as they will burn in direct sunlight.

options? its tricky to keep plants in veg when putting them outdoors what I do is add extra lighting to them when I put them outdoors(outdoor lights) this way I get a head start on the outdoor season.
Eg, Bigger plant.

Appreciate the replies... bit of history... the last two years I grew outdoors successfully. First year was rough going BUT successful! Last year great until some "#&€£#! ripped me off about two weeks before harvest.

I live in the country and have a new neighbor who has informed me that if he sees Marijuana plants in the neighborhood he will call the cops. I decided to grow indoors and am pleasantly surprised how well the six plants are doing... Concerned if six plants can go the distance in a closet 4.5 feet my 2.5 feet with about 7 feet height.

Hope that makes sense. Two plant are Blueberry one is Sour Diesel and three are Ghost Train Haze. I had eight to start but two died off early on.

Not sure what "hard them" means? Assuming it means conditioning them to outdoors?

Thanks for the replies

Yeah sorry ( harden them off) sunlight is a lot stronger than indoor light by far and burns the burn. Oh man F(*&)^ING RIPOFFS what can I say, mate keep it quiet don't tell even your best mate and don't let anyone see you going to your spot gorilla style you know. and as for your narc neighbour mate even more to go stealth.
Me I choose to go outdoors more space more yield.

Learned my lesson about going stealth!!! Would rather do outdoor but this new neighbor is a piece of work to say the least. Do you think I can keep 6 plants in the dimensions mentioned previously?

Like the indoor situation but they are getting big!!

Regards and Thanks...

Right 4.5 feet X 2.5 feet small space 7 feet high. hmmm what power wattage light r u running how big are the plants now. I think it depends on what your going for indoors for the space you have to work in.

Got to think is it flood and drain using pots etc the space you have left above once you have the choice of growing medium. Also the light hanging above and the space that's left in between those two you know. You could have 6 plants or 4 or 3 or so on again it depends on what your going for. how big are the ladies now?

Really just wanted a couple of plants for personal consumption and would be happy if I can see two or three of these girls go the distance. My question in it's basic form is should I cull a couple of the plants before I switch the light cycle to 12 12 or should I leave all six in the closet and hope for the best? Hate to sound nieve but I guess I am with this indoor deal. I really can't believe how big they are in only 5 weeks!!!

How high? This can determent when to switch to 12/12. Do you know what strain is it does it stretch when flowering , look you could grow all 6 plants if that's what you want to do and if they take up to much space start putting some outdoors easy.

you might need to flower right now. They can double in size. How big are they now? No need to cull yet .Are they feminized If not you will loose 1 0r 2 anyway most likely.

They are all female!!! Three and a quarter feet high. I am getting ready to change the light cycle in a day or two. Out of curiosity if I do this roughly how many more weeks should they take till crop? Deeply appreciate yyour input!

Mate, it all depends on what strain you have going some strains flower faster then others an at 3 1/4 feet or a bit over a metre your strain may stretch more so you don't have much space and you do the math. again what strain is it and we might be able to help.

Ghost train haze about 65 to 80 days sour diesel about 75 to 85 days blueberry 60 to 70 days. 5 weeks veg maybe a bit long for that small space but you could trim them back and get more branches.

your going to have to get creative and reduce your stretch me thinks you have like 9 weeks to go .
