can i nute?

I was just wondering if I can give my plant any nute now that it is showing preflowers. The reason I ask is because it is in MG 6 month time released nutes and I don't want to burn the plant. Also, I have some lighter green leafs on the bottom of the plant. The bottom set of leafs on eachside are a light greenish yellow color and the rest of the plant is a great green color. Is there anything I can do? It showed it's sex about 3 weeks ago.I have it in a 5 gallon pot.This is my first go around and I can use all the advice I can get.

It could of just reached its max potential so its telling you to put it into flower.. How tall is it?.. Also rather than miracle grow.. I would go with an organic fert for outdoors.. Maybe worm casting.. hen manure.. even cow or sheep manure.. hope that helps
